​🚜 Construction truck play & creative painting sessions!
​I'm so proud of how well they have started off the year!!

🍓 Tiny Turtles Garden Update! 🐢

Our little gardeners have continued to do an amazing job caring for our strawberry plants, watering, checking, and patiently watching them grow… and grow… and grow!

And in a very suspicious turn of events, the strawberries have ripened perfectly right on the long weekend. 🤣I suspect that with no children around to pick them, they’ve finally been left alone long enough to do their thing!

These ones were delicious and Im hopeful everyone will return next week and see ( & taste!) the delicious results of their hard work. 🌱🍓

Once again I have been absolutely spoilt 🎄
Merry Christmas 💚

This morning we set off on a little bush adventure, collecting leaves, seed pods and other natural treasures along the way.

Back at Tiny Turtles, we turned our collections into beautiful Christmas baubles, each one completely unique and made with so much care. Nature, creativity and festive fun all rolled into one🎄🌲

🎉 Sweet Sixteen! 🎂

16 years ago today, I nervously opened the door for the very first time.

Fast forward to today, and that moment is still my favourite part of the day—opening the door to greet my favourite little people! 🥹 Their smiles, and their cuddles make every day worthwhile.

Naturally, the Turtle Team and I had to celebrate this milestone Halloween style! 🎃 Wishing everyone a spooktacular weekend!!

🐦 What an adventure we had today at our favourite park for our Backyard Bird Count expedition! 🌳

The Tiny Turtles crew were so excited to spot some amazing Australian birds:
We saw some White Cockatoo's foraging in the long grass, we even found some fluffy white feathers! A Magpie was marching across the lawn, a few Crows and of course, some Pink and Grey Galahs!
We were hoping to tick a Rainbow Lorikeet off our list, but they must have been hiding in the treetops today! Maybe next time! The turtles loved observing the birds in their natural habitat and learning about all the different sights and sounds.
It was a beautiful day for a walk and some park play! We love connecting with nature and our community.
We came home to create some nests at the playdough table using materials we found at the park. 🐦🦜🪺

It was a wet and windy start to our backyard bird count today but the Tiny Turtles got creative making their own binoculars, complete with Australian bird stickers and a treasure trove of craft materials.
​The moment the rain held off, we raced outside for a game of "Hide and Seek - Bird Hunt Style!" Lots of excitement as we spotted our feathered friends (or at least our pretend ones!).
Hopefully we will have better luck tomorrow!!

🍓 Tiny Gardeners Update! 🌱

​The children have been so involved in tending to our plants, and their enthusiasm is blooming!
We've been focusing on how things grow, and this week, our little friends made a very exciting discovery.
​Yesterday, we spotted a few of our strawberries starting to ripen—"There's red!" They exclaimed with so much pride! This hands-on experience is a wonderful way for the children to understand lifecycles, responsibility, and their connection to the natural world.
