My son offered to share the opportunity with my students to work on these numbers which will be displayed at Yagan Square tomorrow evening!

Come and join us and the City of Perth tomorrow evening as we bring in 2020 with lots of fun and entertainment at the Perth Cultural Centre and Yagan Square for The City at New Year's Eve.

We couldn't wait to share with you these extraordinary giant numbers, that were designed and painted by local Indigenous students from Butler College, under the mentorship of Perth artist Patrick Garlett-Forrest.

We are proud to have been involved in this exciting art project that represents the Indigenous significance of Yagan Square. They will be used to form a backdrop on stage as we bring in 2020! 🎉

its been a while since I've made bush toys!
I have a workshop with some kids next week so I've made some of my easy toys for the kids to have a go at making.

WEAVING WORKSHOPS

Would you like to host a weaving workshop? Are you involved in a womens group or community centre that would be interested in holding one off or regular weaving workshops?

Then I'm your woman. I teach different ABORIGINAL weaving techniques with all materials supplied. I run my workshops for 4 hours which allows plenty of time to complete a small basket.

(Beware, weaving is highly addictive and gives you a deep sense of wellbeing 😉)

a few girlfriends have indicated that they are interested in learning to weave. for us north east siders, Freo is a bit of a hike, so I was thinking of hosting a bush walk and weaving workshop out my way long Yellagonga track somewhere. I am not a fan of taking from nature for personal gain, but I will bring natural fibers for you to see, but we will use raffia with the baskets and bracelets that we make, I'll put of an afternoon tea as well. because all this cost me money I would ask to a small donation to help with Materials and food? if enough interested I will put something together in about a fortnights time?
