🕷️🕸️ Spidey and His Amazing Friends have arrived! ❤️💙

It’s only Day 2 of Book Week and we think we may have discovered our very own team of Spidey and His Amazing Friends! 🕷️✨

Our centre was absolutely crawling with Spider-Man today, with so many of our little superheroes — and even some of our amazing educators — dressing up and joining in the fun! 🥰

From striking superhero poses to saving the day with plenty of smiles, our Spidey crew certainly knew how to make Book Week AMAZING! 🕸️💥

With great costumes comes great fun… and we’re loving seeing everyone get into the Book Week spirit! 📚❤️

Spidey, Ghost-Spider and Spin would definitely be proud! 🕷️🩷💙

🌸🎓 Celebrating Yan & Olivia! 🎓🌸

Today we celebrated a wonderful achievement for two very special members of our Crayon House family! 💕

Our Babies Room Leader, Yan, and Kindy Room Leader, Olivia, have both recently completed their Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care through their traineeships here at Crayon House Childcare! 🎓✨

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, commitment and hard work they have shown throughout their studies, all while continuing to care for, nurture and inspire our little ones every day. 🌱💕

We surprised them today with flowers and chocolates to congratulate them on this fantastic achievement. 🌷🍫

Congratulations, Yan and Olivia! We are so proud to have you both as part of our Crayon House team and look forward to seeing all that you continue to achieve! 💐🎓❤️

Today our Kindy children had a fantastic time visiting Bull Creek Dental as part of our Dental Health Week celebrations! Dentist 🦷 🪥

When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who helped make everyone feel comfortable and excited to explore the dental clinic. We headed into one of the treatment rooms where we enjoyed listening to a story all about visiting the dentist and learning how dentists help keep our teeth healthy and strong.

Next came the exciting part! Every child showed incredible bravery by having a turn in the dentist’s chair. They put on special glasses and a dental bib before exploring how the chair moved up and down, as well as backwards and forwards. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and growing confidence as the children discovered that visiting the dentist can be a fun and positive experience.

The children then enjoyed pretending to be dentists, taking turns checking each other’s teeth and using the dental tools. We also practised the important skills of brushing and flossing, talking about how these healthy habits help keep our teeth clean and strong every day.

A big thank you to the amazing team at Bull Creek Dental for welcoming us and creating such a fun, engaging and educational experience. We are so proud of all of our Kindy children for being so brave, curious and eager to learn. We can’t wait to continue exploring healthy habits back at the centre!

On Friday, we had a wonderful visit from West Oz Wildlife! 🐨🐍🦎

A big thank you to Rebekah, who delivered a fantastic interactive presentation introducing our children to a beautiful koala, several species of pythons, a blue-tongue lizard and an adorable sugar glider.

Rebekah taught the children about each animal’s diet, habitat, unique features and behaviours, as well as the importance of caring for our environment and staying safe around wildlife. The children were engaged, curious and asked some fantastic questions throughout the session.

The highlight of the day was getting up close with the animals! The children enjoyed patting the koala and sugar glider, gently touching and holding the reptiles, and posing for some very special photos.

Experiences like these provide meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities that foster curiosity, confidence and a deeper appreciation for Australia’s unique wildlife. Thank you, Rebekah and the team at West Oz Wildlife, for such an engaging and memorable incursion!

What a special week of learning, connection and celebration!

Our children explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through Yarning Circles, Noongar songs, stories, artwork, sensory experiences and learning about native Australian animals.

We are proud to continue creating opportunities for children to build respect, understanding and appreciation for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures 🌿✨

Big thanks to for an unforgettable incursion!

Today we followed a Fairy-Tale Trail 🧚‍♀️, discovered story clues and arrived at a whimsical tea party 🫖🌸.

The children made potions, created nature wands, built magical worlds and retold stories using loose parts 🌿🪄.

We finished by sharing our magical moments and sprinkling fairy dust ✨ It was a beautiful day of play, wonder and imagination!

🧧 Celebrating Chinese New Year at Our Centre🏮

The children enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year through hands-on, play-based experiences. They explored sensory provocations, created play dough dumplings, and decorated traditional red envelopes, learning about wishes of good luck and prosperity.

To welcome the Year of the Horse, the children coloured and decorated horse images while learning about the Chinese zodiac and what the horse represents — energy, strength, and enthusiasm.

We love creating opportunities for children to learn about and appreciate different cultures in our community.
