Yesterday our service participated in National Simultaneous Story time where we read the story 'Luna Roo'
Our children really enjoyed listening to the story and some of our little friends loved the story so much that they wanted to draw Luna Roo!

Today one of our confident young learners took charge of our dramatic‑play café, taking orders, preparing pretend meals, and proudly serving up delicious creations. With a menu in hand and a big imagination, this little chef used rich language to describe dishes, greet “customers,” and explain every step of the cooking process.
Dramatic play like this builds confidence, encourages creative thinking, and supports language development as children express ideas, negotiate roles, and bring their stories to life.
From make‑believe burgers and tea, every dish was made with creativity and pride.

Today our children used natural loose materials to create and represent their families — and the results were as thoughtful as they were imaginative. Using sticks, stones, and wood slices they built little “families” full of personality and meaning.
As they arranged each piece, the children shared stories about the people they love, using rich language to describe roles, relationships, and special moments. This kind of open‑ended play encourages creativity, communication, and a deeper sense of belonging.

Today our young storytellers took the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs and rewrote their very own versions. With lots of discussion, imagination, and giggles, the children sequenced the events, decided what should happen next, and added their own creative twists to the story.
After planning their ideas, they drew pictures to match each part of the tale and began writing their words, building early literacy and school‑readiness skills along the way. Activities like this strengthen language development, storytelling confidence, and understanding of how stories are structured.
