Every classroom has a Smartboard (Interactive Whiteboard), which is the very latest in learning technologies for students. Osborne students are treated to a wonderful start with specialist Early Childhood Teachers in both Kindergarten and Pre Primary. Our NAPLAN (National Assessment Program in Literacy & Numeracy) results were exceptionally good again in 2011, well above the Australian average in most areas. This success reflects the quality teaching programs within the school and the high expectations we have of our students. This year Osborne excelled on the sporting field. We had a very successful football and netball interschool program, with the highlight being the football team (mixed boys and girls) playing at Subiaco Oval before an AFL match. Osborne was also successful in winning the Handicap Shield in the annual Interschool Athletics Carnival. The School Physical Education program includes a commitment to have regular visits from various sporting organisations, in order to continually expose students to a wide range of sports and skills. Facility improvements are vital to every school and Osborne Primary has a new Library, new large covered playground and an Assembly Area under construction, due for completion mid 2012. Osborne Primary encourages and welcomes active parent involvement. There are many interesting activities occurring within our school, which we encourage you to become involved in. In addition there is a new nature playground and the pre-primary and Kindy each have seperate fenced in playgrouds with lots of shade.
