Loose parts play allows for endless oppotunities to explore open ended materials. This kind of play provides children with sensory exploration, room for imagination, fine and gross motor skills, it teaches children about recycling, engages all their senses, it allows children to be curious, further develops their physical skills and cognitive skills and so much more. The children in the babies room have been loving exploring a wide variety of loose part materials which allows them to explore in a new way!

Last week was book week!! All throughout the week the children and educators came dressed in their best costumes relating to different books. Each room provided the children with a variety of different activities such as sensory trays, storytimes, outdoor activities and so much more. It was amazing to see how excited the children were showing each other their costumes and talking about who they were 🌸🤩❤️

Please feel free to leave a message to one or multiple educators about how amazing they are! Have you seen our menu board? Our wonderful cook Karen has created a board next to the kitchen which includes the weekly menu as well as the recipes she has used throughout the week. If you are curious about the menu for the week you can either check this big board or check the handover board in your childs room. If your child is really enjoying a meal during the day and your childs educator informs you of this you are able to take a copy of the menu and cook it at home!

The children have been engaged in a variety of sensory, messy play science experiments this week for Science Week. They have worked with their educators to create some amazing reactions with colours, materials such as shaving foam, bicarb soda, food colouring etc and water. BOOK WEEK - 24th Aug -> 28th Aug
Families, next week is book week. The educators in our service are planning dress ups for each day and we strongly encourage the children to dress up too as their favourite book character. It can be one day, a few or all week. We can't wait to see everyone in their costumes and we can't wait for you to see ours!! 🤗😍😁
