They found an old CD in our loose part station …. They used it in their play and showed in the light and discovered it is reflecting and can make beautiful rainbows .

This simple pllay led to

🧠Building early STEM skills through hands on investigation.
🎨Appreciate the beauty of colours and patterns in their environment.

🚒 This week we have been extending on our Emergency Evacuation Practices through fun and engaging firefighter play experiences.
The children have loved learning about the important role emergency services play in keeping our community safe. ❤️👩‍🚒
A special thank you to one of our beautiful mums for bringing in extra firefighter equipment so all the children could share, explore, and enjoy the experience together! 🔥🚒

Update on our snake bean plant 🌱
We planted the seeds together
We watered the plants every day
We watched the tiny seedlings turning into small leaves and growing taller
We tracked the growth every day
Waited patiently for the plant to flower
We saw the purple flowers coming and then slowly turning into tiny beans …..
We touched the flowers …..picked some as we were so curious …learned by watching every day these flowers are going to give us beans ….

We ate some raw fresh from the garden and we added them in our lunches.

Such an incredible experience for us from the begening to harvest this home grown beans …. 🫘

National Simultaneous Story Time 2026

We had a fantastic time participating in National Simultaneous Storytime during the special session at Piara Waters Library. The children were highly engaged and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story, joining in with the activities, and sharing this memorable experience together.

Thanks to Koolanga FDC Services for providing us with the wonderful book for National Simultaneous Storytime.
