Our Year 7 students have been exploring the fascinating world of forces by investigating how friction varies across different surfaces. Through hands-on experiments, they tested and compared different materials, collected data and analysed how surface texture affects the force required to move an object.
It was fantastic to see students applying scientific thinking, making predictions and drawing conclusions from their results as they developed their understanding of Physics in action.

Approximately 65 of our students proudly represented KCC at the ACC Cross Country Championships.
God blessed us with beautiful weather for the event and every member of our team demonstrated determination, resilience and perseverance as they tackled the challenging 4km course. With between 350 and 430 students lining up for each race, the scale of the competition was impressive, making every finish line crossing an achievement worth celebrating.
We are incredibly proud of the character, sportsmanship and commitment displayed by our students throughout the day. Whether chasing a personal best, supporting teammates, or pushing through the final stages of the course, each competitor represented the College with distinction.
Congratulations to all our runners on a fantastic day of competition. We also celebrate several students who achieved outstanding individual performances.

What an incredible achievement for Connor in Year 8, who has had the privilege of performing with the West Australian Ballet in their latest production at His Majesty's Theatre.
Connor performed alongside professional ballet dancers, including alumna Indianna Scott, who was a lead dancer in the production. What a special experience to share the stage with such talented performers and to see one of our alumna excelling in the arts industry.
We are so proud of Connor for embracing this wonderful opportunity and representing the College so well.

Our Year 5 campers are having a fantastic time on camp as they explore the outdoors, tackle exciting obstacles and take part in a range of fun activities. Even with the chilly weather, students are embracing the water activities, stepping outside their comfort zones and building lasting friendships along the way. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who support and encourage our students to make these camp experiences so memorable.

We were fortunate to welcome professional artist and alumna Gabrielle Bruce into our Kindergarten classrooms to explore the six Noongar seasons. Gabrielle, a Wajarri Yamatji and Noongar contemporary acrylic artist based in Boorloo (Perth) on Whadjuk Noongar Country, shared her knowledge and artistic practice with our youngest learners. The children had the opportunity to create their own artworks inspired by the seasons, using shapes and symbols that carry cultural meaning and significance.
It was a rich hands-on experience of storytelling through art, deepening students’ understanding of Noongar seasonal knowledge while expressing their creativity through painting.
We are grateful to Gabrielle for generously sharing her time, knowledge, and artistry with our students.

Congratulations, Wendell, on this outstanding accomplishment. We applaud your passion, courage and ability to inspire others!

Another outstanding win for our Legal Eagles Mock Trial Team. Not only did the team successfully represent their client, Albert Caponi, achieving a “Not Guilty” verdict, but they also won the round on points.
A special thank you to KCC Alumna Stephanie Crisan for generously giving her time to coach and mentor the team. We always value our alumni returning to the College community and sharing their insight and experience with our students.
We now look ahead to the next round — a civil trial taking place at the beginning of June. Congratulations to everyone involved and thank you to the teachers who support them.
