The first step for all Kumon students is a Diagnostic Test. This is a thorough initial assessment which identifies current strengths and weaknesses within your child’s learning. Kumon Instructors analyse the results of a Diagnostic Test to create an individualised study plan for your child.

What a great day we had at Altone Comes Alive 2026 last Saturday! It was lovely meeting families and being part of such a lively community event! A big thank you to the City of Swan for having us - we truly enjoyed every moment. Here are some highlights from the day!

Multiplication tables aren’t just about memorising answers.
They help children recognise patterns, understand how numbers work together, and build strong number sense.
When students practise tables consistently, their brains begin to spot patterns, like how numbers grow in equal steps or how multiplication connects to addition and division. This makes maths faster, more logical, and far less overwhelming.
With these foundations in place, children can focus on problem solving and higher level thinking instead of stopping to work out every simple calculation.
