Tomorrow is our Faction Carnival!

There is a slight chance of rain, but according to the Bureau of Meteorology, we are only expecting light showers, if anything. With this forecast, the carnival will go ahead tomorrow as planned.

Attached is the program of events for the day. We will do our best to stick to the scheduled times; however, as with any carnival, timings may vary slightly throughout the day.

We look forward to seeing you there for a fantastic day of fun and friendly rivalry!

📚 Book Week Fun at Woodlupine! 📚

Our Book Week parade on 18 August was a fantastic celebration of books, creativity and imagination! Our students looked amazing and put so much effort into their costumes.

The staff embraced their roles as The Day the Crayons Quit crew, although the crayons were particularly naughty, leaving poor Mr Leo to deal with their complaints as Duncan! 🖍️😂

🏅 Faction Jumps & Throws

Our faction jumps & throws are on Wednesday 2 September. Mr McCarn is hoping there are 5 to 6 enthusiastic parents/carers willing to spend their morning assisting our Sports Captains and Student Leaders with tasks such as measuring, line marshalling and reporting distances. If you are able to assist please see Mr McCarn or let the office know.

🌟 Outstanding STEM Expo Success! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of Blake, Yannarha, Jade, Krishna and Dunya, who represented Woodlupine Primary School at last night’s inaugural Darling Range Learning Community STEM Expo.

Each student did a fantastic job presenting their STEM project and sharing their creativity, knowledge and hard work. They represented our school with confidence and pride!

A special congratulations to Jade, who won 1st place in the Year 6 category for her incredible Aboriginal language web app. Jade brought home the trophy, along with some very cool prizes. What an outstanding achievement! 🏆

It was a wonderful evening and a fantastic opportunity to see our students shine. Please join us in congratulating all five students on their efforts and achievements!

Do you know a little one who will be starting Kindy next year?

We currently have places available in our 2027 Kindy program and would love to welcome some new families into our school community.

If you have a 4-year-old who hasn’t enrolled yet, or you know a family who might be looking for a Kindy place, please encourage them to come and see us or get in touch with the school.

On Thursday 6th August, Woodlupine PS will be having our second Clean Up Day for the year. For this event students will be spending some time cleaning up specified areas of the school and recording what they find. This is an excellent opportunity for students to engage in active citizenship. Participation in this activity also highlights the impact of litter on our environment.

On the day will have a short assembly at 9am and then students will be cleaning up areas of the school. For the clean-up, children will need gloves, buckets and hats. Tongs are optional.
