🌟 Nursery 2 Learning Moment 🌟
Today in Nursery 2, we took part in a wonderful group experience focused on building our fine motor and sensory skills.
The children explored the activity in many different ways—pouring, scooping, and mixing—which helped strengthen the small muscles in their hands and fingers. These skills are so important for everyday tasks like holding pencils and using utensils.
They also had a fantastic time feeling and exploring the texture of the pasta, engaging their senses through hands-on play. It was lovely to see their curiosity, concentration, and enjoyment throughout the experience! 💛

🍂 Exploring Autumn Through Creativity 🍂
We are so lucky to be surrounded by large, shady trees at our centre—and even more so during Autumn when the leaves transform into beautiful colours and gently fall to the ground for the children to explore.
The children enjoyed collecting leaves during their outdoor play and extended this experience by using them in a creative activity. Using paintbrushes, they carefully brushed glue onto paper and arranged their leaves to create their own unique artworks.
It was wonderful to see the children reflect on their learning, making connections between collecting the leaves and using them in their gluing experience. This activity supported creativity, fine motor skills, and encouraged children to engage with the natural environment around them.
🍁 Nature truly provides the best learning opportunities! 🍁

🌟 We love hearing from our families! 🌟

We’re often asked what being not-for-profit really means for our families.
Simply put, it means that our purpose always comes before profit. Every dollar we make is reinvested back into our centres, to provide children with enriching and safe learning environments.
We understand how important it is for children to be in a place where they feel safe and settled. And when families need to make a change - planned or unexpected - we’re here to help make that transition easier.
We’re here to support families when it matters most – because every child deserves a Goodstart! ✨

🎨 Building Confidence Through Creative Expression 🎨
To support growing confidence, we set up an art experience that encouraged creativity and self-expression. This experience also provided wonderful learning opportunities across the group.
Fine motor skills were explored through the use of different-sized tools, supporting pincer grip development. Language and communication skills were strengthened as children engaged in conversation and expressed their ideas during play.
Some of the wonderful moments we heard:
“Another one.”
“More, more.”
“White,” to communicate a choice of paint colour.
One child remained engaged for an extended period, carefully dipping matchsticks into paint and tapping them onto paper, creating unique lines and swirls.
A beautiful example of how art experiences support confidence, communication, fine motor development, and creativity all at once. 🌈✨

🐰 Special Visitor Alert! 🐰
Today we had a very special visitor at the centre — the Easter Bunny hopped by to say hello to all the children!
Our Nursery children were a little unsure at first, but happily enjoyed their chocolate treat. The Toddler children showed growing confidence, with some even giving the Easter Bunny a high‑five!
The Kindergarten children were super excited to see the Easter Bunny hopping through the centre. They greeted our visitor with some amazing drawings and displayed beautiful manners while enjoying their chocolate treat.
We wish all our families a safe and happy Easter holiday. No matter how you choose to spend it, we hope you enjoy a relaxing time with the people you love. 💛🐣

✨ Imaginative Play in Toddlers ✨
This afternoon our Toddlers enjoyed a beautiful role‑play experience caring for baby dolls. They explored washing the babies with flannels, dressing them, and working together at the table—building social, fine‑motor, and emotional skills along the way.
Some children chose to stay indoors during our indoor/outdoor play, happily joining in: “I will clean the baby!” one said, while another excitedly asked about putting shoes on the dolls.
We also saw children following routines independently, seeking help when needed, and showing gentle, calming care as they washed and dressed the babies.
💛 A simple, heartwarming afternoon filled with learning, imagination, and nurturing play. 💛
