Dear Armadale Families,

Today has been a day filled with so many emotions.

There is sadness as we say goodbye and reflect on the fact that we will no longer see the children’s smiling faces each day, share in their learning journeys, or work alongside the wonderful families and team who have made Armadale such a special place.

At the same time, there has also been so much joy. We have spent time looking back through photos, sharing our favourite memories, laughing about special moments, and celebrating the incredible relationships that have been built over the years. These memories will stay with us forever.

To all our families, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your children, for allowing us to be part of their lives, and for the kindness, support, and friendships you have shared with us. It has truly been a privilege.

My heart is absolutely full after reading the beautiful cards and messages we have received. Your words have meant more than you could ever know. And my goodness, I think we've consumed enough sugar from all the thoughtful treats to last us a lifetime!

While today marks the end of an important chapter, please know that the impact of the children, families, and team at Armadale will remain with us always. We leave with grateful hearts, cherished memories, and immense pride in the community we have built together.

Thank you for being part of our Armadale family.

With love and gratitude,

Belinda
Centre Director

This Reconciliation Week, our Kindy is going “All In” 🤎

The children have been exploring culture and connection through hands-on experiences—painting rocks for our Morning Yarn, creating fire sticks, and designing artwork with gumnuts using traditional colours.

Through stories like Bush Survival Skills, they’ve been learning about caring for Country and how Aboriginal peoples have lived with the land for generations.

A beautiful week of creativity, learning and connection 🌿

For Reconciliation Week, the Toddler's room created a bush-inspired sensory tray 🌿

Filled with red clay, bark, ho**ey nuts, eucalyptus leaves and wildflowers, the children explored textures, scents and nature through play.

We added Australian animals and gathered together to discover, make animal sounds and spark imagination—especially enjoying the climbing dingoes and beautiful flowers!

🌟 Nursery 2 Learning Moment 🌟

Today in Nursery 2, we took part in a wonderful group experience focused on building our fine motor and sensory skills.

The children explored the activity in many different ways—pouring, scooping, and mixing—which helped strengthen the small muscles in their hands and fingers. These skills are so important for everyday tasks like holding pencils and using utensils.
They also had a fantastic time feeling and exploring the texture of the pasta, engaging their senses through hands-on play. It was lovely to see their curiosity, concentration, and enjoyment throughout the experience! 💛

🍂 Exploring Autumn Through Creativity 🍂

We are so lucky to be surrounded by large, shady trees at our centre—and even more so during Autumn when the leaves transform into beautiful colours and gently fall to the ground for the children to explore.

The children enjoyed collecting leaves during their outdoor play and extended this experience by using them in a creative activity. Using paintbrushes, they carefully brushed glue onto paper and arranged their leaves to create their own unique artworks.

It was wonderful to see the children reflect on their learning, making connections between collecting the leaves and using them in their gluing experience. This activity supported creativity, fine motor skills, and encouraged children to engage with the natural environment around them.

🍁 Nature truly provides the best learning opportunities! 🍁

We’re often asked what being not-for-profit really means for our families.

Simply put, it means that our purpose always comes before profit. Every dollar we make is reinvested back into our centres, to provide children with enriching and safe learning environments.

We understand how important it is for children to be in a place where they feel safe and settled. And when families need to make a change - planned or unexpected - we’re here to help make that transition easier.

We’re here to support families when it matters most – because every child deserves a Goodstart! ✨
