πβ¨ Today we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime with Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller! π¦β½
This high-energy story had our students cheering like they were in the stands as rookie captain Luna Roo stepped up to lead FC Outback in a thrilling match against Bush United. Along the way, Luna learned to silence her doubts, believe in her skills and trust her teammates β an inspiring message for us all! ππ
Our Karri and Tuart block students thoroughly enjoyed story time together today. π

In commemoration of National Sorry Day, students from Kindy to Year 6 planted their Desert Rose flowers at the front of our school. We were also incredibly lucky to have Gina Williams-Ghouse perform, sharing language, culture and stories through song.
Today marks the beginning of Reconciliation Week. As a school we have been reflecting on this yearβs theme, βAll Inβ. It reminds us that Reconciliation is not a spectator sport. We all have an important role to play.

ANZAC Day Dawn Service 2026
With deep respect and gratitude, we gathered for our ANZAC Day Dawn Service, reflecting on the sacrifices made and the enduring spirit of the ANZACs. We thank all service men and women, both past and present, for their courage and sacrifice.
It was a powerful reminder of the strength found in unity, courage, and remembrance.
Lest we forget.

Today at Poynter, we celebrated Harmony Day and Lots of Socks Day in the most colourful and meaningful way! π§‘π§¦
It was a sea of orange and bright, crazy socks across the school as we came together to recognise and celebrate inclusion, diversity, and belonging.
A special highlight of the day was an amazing video created by Oscar, one of our incredible students, who shared his story and what Poynter means to him. We are so proud of the confidence, creativity, and joy he brings to our school community.
Weβre also thrilled to share that we raised $595 to donate to Down Syndrome WAβthank you to everyone for your generosity and support!
Students took part in a whole-school assembly, where each class decorated a puzzle piece to come together and create our shared message: βWe All Belong!β This beautiful display is now proudly showcased in our front office.
Thank you to our students, staff, and families for your enthusiasm, effort, and kindness in making today so special. π
