Vivo Piano is a place where students explore their musical potential in a creative and supportive environment. Operated by Heather Watson, a successful piano teacher, her philosophy is simple - anyone with a desire to explore music through the piano is capable of enjoying a fulfilling teaching experience with the right teacher. Her teaching approach draws on inspirations from great teachers like F

rances Clark who believed teach the student first, music second and piano third. She offers a highly personalised mentoring approach helping students enjoy an enriching, successful and most importantly happy musical experience. Her passion for music and piano in particular, is evident in the creative and motivational ways she approaches her teaching. Her previous professional roles in training and development and studies in child development give her unique skills, enabling her to create a nurturing and structured teaching environment towards learning piano. Increasing students self esteem and ensuring they have a positive musical experience are key priorities in this studio. As a result students are enjoying great results and interaction together through regular individual and group activities. The next phase in developing her business is to work with a broader group of students to keep promoting a love of music. An already busy before and after school programme means that she is particularly keen to work with students available during school hours with a particular focus on offering pre school music education programmes.

Congratulations to this lovely student on passing her Grade 2 piano exam with Honours. She also plays the flute! Her examiner complimented her on her musical interpretations and careful preparation. Hard work always pays off and hopefully she had some fun along the way too!
