I am a graduate of the Institute of Medicine 1, Yangon, and have been working in Australia since 2008. With a growing interest in women's health and child health, I pursued further training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and child health. In 2012, I was awarded the Advanced Diploma by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In addition, I completed my GP trai

ning and obtained fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014. Since then, I have been working as a GP Obstetrician in Western Australia. Beyond my clinical responsibilities, I also hold a part-time senior clinical lecturer position at the University of Western Australia, where I contribute to teaching activities for medical students. Furthermore, I have extensive experience in delivering Midwifery education and teaching English language, both through online platforms and in-person settings. Currenlty I have been giving 'Training of Trainers' weekly English teaching sessions to my 16 tutors who have been teaching English for about 250 health care professionals on Zoom. These tutors will be the main tutors who will give preschool English classes at Aussie ABCs for Myanmar Toddlers Online English Preschool. This Online English Preschool is established with the aim to foster a sturdy foundation of the English language in very young children so that they will have benefits for their education and future career for life. A Lin Yaung has been with our school since the day we first opened. He has grown and learned with us for three years. When he first joined our school, he was only three years old.

At first, he could concentrate for only about five minutes during a one-hour class. However, just one week later, his concentration improved, and after one month, he was able to participate well in class.

As he had never had screen time before joining our school, he was genuinely interested in our online classes. Although he could concentrate for only five minutes at first, his mother never thought of giving up. She trusted our teachers and saw their patience and kindness.

During his three years with us, A Lin Yaung has had three different teachers because of teachers’ internet connection issues and changes in class times. However, he accepted each change easily and adapted to each new situation without difficulty.

He is a wonderful example of a child who can accept changes and adapt to different circumstances. I am very proud of him. I truly appreciate his mother’s enthusiastic attitude, patience, and trust in our school and teachers.

On July 22nd, 2026, I met with Linn Myat Oo’s mother. Linn has been attending our school since we first opened three years ago.

When Linn was three years and eight months old, he could concentrate for only about 15 minutes during class. However, his mother never gave up and continued to support his learning. I really appreciate her patience and commitment.

Now, Linn is six years and eight months old and is attending the 7-year-old class. He is a quiet child, but he truly loves learning and is always eager to learn new things. He can read both Myanmar and English fluently. He also loves drawing, arts and crafts, and playing games on the Reading Eggs application.

Although he attends at least three classes a day, he has never complained about attending them. He continues to join his classes happily and enjoys learning.

His learning journey is a wonderful example of how patience, consistency, and encouragement can help a child grow.

There is a student in our school who truly loves Maths. His name is Harrison. He is only 5 years old and has just finished the 4-year-old class, but he can mentally subtract 35 from 50 without anyone asking him to do it.

When his mom asked him, “How do you know that?” he replied, “I can do it myself.”

He always checks his savings balance. He also loves reading books from our library.

Harrison joined our school one year ago. I met his mother on 22nd July 2026. She is a very supportive parent who never gives up when facing difficulties during class time.

We have started "Kid's English Speaking Corner" on the 5th of July 2026 at 11:30 am - 12:50 pm. It is a free weekly combined session on every Sunday at the same time for all > 7 years old students of our school with 2 year experience of English learning to give them a chance to practise speaking. It is a form of peer education and it will be facilitated by Elina and each of 4 Zoom break-out rooms will be hosted by Elina (11 years old), Yuri (8 years old), Rachel (7 years old) and Aung Min Htike (5 years old) who are the top students of our school with very high level of English proficiency. My son Leo (6 years old) from Australia will be helping out sometimes too. I will be helping out for a couple months only with explaining teaching materials and topics and demonstrating routines. There won't be any teacher after that for this session.

Attending kids will be divided into 4 groups. Then there will be 4 rounds of conversation in the main room (host vs host) for 10 minutes (demonstration) and in break-out rooms (host vs participants of a group) for 10 minutes (practice).

I will send messages on "All Parents" Telegram group to communicate with all our 4 hosts and other participating kids. I will use English only to communicate there. I will share teaching materials in advance and explain the tasks. A lot of them would be from Twinkl. Many different methods, games and activities would be used. Examples are role plays, truths and lies, picture differences, problem solving, guess the word, guess who, hot seat, speed conversation, conversation bingo, opinions, debates, plan a trip, design a product, story building, chain story, question cards etc.

During the speaking sessions, everyone has to speak in English only. Speaking in Burmese is not allowed. Those kids who haven't been with our school for at least 2 years or are not 7 years old are not suitable to attend these speaking sessions yet.

The Zoom ID and Passcode are the same as those of the regular classes. There won't be any recorded videos.
