This book is about the complicated faith journey. The old Sunday School lesson about the "Straight and Narrow Way" that leads to life, for many of us is, turns out to be full of twists, turns and dead ends. Navigating life can be a lot more demanding than we originally expected. If your way is still "straight and narrow" don't read it!

The "Straight and Narrow Way" was a pipe dream of early days chasing a sense of spirituality; imagining that steps in maturity would be like rungs on a ladder, that was just a narrow! A 'few' years later and clearly those steps up have often been followed by a few steps down again, let alone a ladder that has wobbled all over the place . At times it seems to have completely fallen down. Sometimes you can sense God in the process!

A while back people often contrasted the supposed 'straight and narrow' way with a 'broad' way that led to destruction. Later in life the straight and narrow way seems to have had far more twists and turns than we ever expected!
