🧁✨ Sweet Creations in the Making! ✨🧁

Our little bakers in the Daffodil Room have been busy creating their very own craft cupcakes! 🎨🧁 With lots of imagination, creativity and fun, the children enjoyed designing and decorating their delicious-looking masterpieces.

Activities like this support children’s:
🎨 Creativity & imagination – encouraging them to explore ideas and express themselves.
✋ Fine motor skills – cutting, sticking, placing and decorating help strengthen little hands and fingers.
🧠 Cognitive development – making choices and planning their creations encourages problem-solving and decision-making.
😊 Confidence & self-expression – children can proudly create something that is uniquely their own.
👫 Social skills – sharing materials and ideas encourages cooperation and communication.

Most importantly, we had lots of fun creating together! 💕🧁

🌙✨ Throwback to Pyjama Day at Buttercups Champion Lakes! ✨🌙

We’re taking a cosy trip down memory lane to one of our favourite days at the centre in July 2026! 🧸💤

Our little ones arrived in their favourite pyjamas, ready for a day filled with fun, laughter, cuddles and plenty of cosy adventures! 🥰🩷

Pyjama Day was a wonderful opportunity for the children to use their imagination, creativity and social skills while enjoying a relaxed and playful day with their friends. It also encouraged a sense of belonging and community as everyone came together to celebrate. 🌟

There’s nothing quite like a day at childcare spent in your PJs! 💤🧸✨

🔬✨ Science Week at Buttercups Champion Lakes! ✨🔬

Our little scientists had a wonderful time exploring, experimenting and discovering during Science Week! 🧪👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

🌶️💃 Dancing Pepper Experiment
The children sprinkled pepper onto water and then added a little dishwashing liquid. They watched in amazement as the pepper quickly moved away from the soap, creating a “dancing” effect! This fun experiment helped us explore how soap affects the surface tension of water.

🥛🌈 Magic Milk Experiment
For our magic milk experiment, the children added drops of colourful food colouring to milk before touching the surface with a cotton bud dipped in dishwashing liquid. The colours swirled, mixed and danced across the milk, creating beautiful patterns! This was a wonderful way to explore how soap interacts with the fats in milk.

Our experiments encouraged the children to ask questions, make predictions, observe changes and share their ideas — all while having lots of fun! 🌟🔍

We love seeing those curious little minds in action! 💡❤️

Join us for a Pirate adventure day on the 4th of August from 10am til 1.00pm! Head down for face painting, a pirate treasure hunt and lots of fun photo opportunities l! There is also fun for parents too! Buttercups Champion Lakes and Maddington will be there too!
