A helpful reminder for families planning early learning in 2026 🌱

You may remember the 3 Day Guarantee for early learning that was announced last year to help families prepare ahead of time.

As a reminder, this initiative means families are eligible for at least three days of subsidised early childhood education and care per week, providing greater certainty and access to early learning. 

At Mini Bambini, we welcome children from 4 months to 5 years, supporting families from those early beginnings through to school readiness in a connected and nurturing environment.

As we step into the final days of the year, a little reminder that Mini B is open as normal for our community during this period.

Our Vacation Care program for our older children is continuing, providing familiar faces, meaningful experiences, and a sense of continuity during the holiday break. If you require a program to check dates and experiences - please contact the office directly. ☺️

We will only be closed on the upcoming public holidays.

December came around quickly and somehow is flying by even faster 🎄🎓

In just a few short weeks, we’ve celebrated our Kindy graduates, shared special moments with families, and came together for our Mini B Christmas party, complete with festive activities and a visit from Santa. 🎅🏼

A huge thank you to our incredible educators for the care, intention, and heart you bring every day, and to our families for being such an important part of our Mini B community. 💚

At Mini B, learning begins with relationships. 🫶🏽

Before children feel confident to explore, climb, take risks or try something new, they need to feel safe, seen and trusted.
That trust is built through strong, consistent relationships with the educators who walk alongside them each day.

You’ll often see our educators close by, kneeling in the sand, offering a hand, sharing a quiet moment or simply being present. These small interactions matter. 💚
They help children feel secure, understood and confident enough to step forward in their own time. 🤗

Big changes are coming for families in 2026! 🌿
From January 2026, all families will get 72 subsidised hours of early learning per fortnight, with no activity test needed. 🥳

This means more children can join Mini B and experience the joy of learning through play in our warm, supportive environment.

Here’s what the 3-Day Guarantee means:

🫶🏽 All families eligible for at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight.
🫶🏽 No activity test for the first 72 hours
🫶🏽 Applies to Long Day Care services like Mini B
🫶🏽 Families can still receive more hours if eligible

With these changes just around the corner, we’re already seeing strong interest for 2026 placements.

We’re excited to share that Olivia has stepped into the role of Educational Leader here at Mini B. 🤗

In this role, she’ll be mentoring our educators, strengthening our community connections, and helping bring our philosophy to life across the centre. Olivia will also be leading projects like our food drives and educator training, ensuring our values are felt in every corner.

Here’s a message from Olivia herself:

“Kia ora, you may have seen me in our Kindy environment. I’m thrilled to share that I’ll now be taking on the role of Educational Leader at Mini B. I’m excited to share my knowledge with others and make a difference in the programming and development of our community.”
