Our mission is to remove the taboo of talking openly about death through education and humour, one life at a time. By doing so we hope to bring about healthy change in our medical, environmental and

life attitudes, as well as combating death axiety and over-medicalised deaths. We are highly aware that Australia tends to lag a few years behind other Western English-speaking countries in terms of social issues- we are an island in the middle of nowhere after all! We are also aware that much of our information about death has come from US and UK influences which are not always aligned with our laws and values. Is Canada's assisted dying program actually "out of control," or is that just internet propaganda? Canada's Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) program is currently the most closely watched - and heavily debated - assisted dying program in the world. With deaths growing rapidly and eligibility expanding to non-terminal cases, it genuinely divides doctors, disability advocates, and lawmakers globally. In this video, we take an honest, evidence-based look at what is actually happening in Canada. We separate the extreme conspiracy theories from the very real, structural problems within the healthcare system, explore how a single court case (the Truchon decision) rapidly changed the laws, and compare Canada's controversial "Track 2" approach to Australia's much more conservative Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) model.
