Absolute Drama WA Absolute Drama provides drama classes to primary aged students in the northern suburbs of Perth. Kate feels now that she has come full circle.

Holding a Masters in Education and a Bachelor of Communication, Kate has dedicated years to understanding how children learn, grow, and build confidence, through drama education. Kate's early experience as both a stage performer, and theatre director in Perth and Melbourne bolstered her passion for performing arts. She began to realise that her vocation was teaching

, after running the drama program at a camp in Maine, America. Kate has also had the incredible opportunity to teach and share the magic of drama with students in Nepal and India. Her years working in a youth arts organisation in Darwin, combined with her outreach/community work, working in schools in both the public, private, primary and senior sectors, and previous experiences overseas have cemented her belief that the primary focus of working with young people is creating emotionally safe spaces. She started drama classes outside of school when she was 10 years old and remembers being able to create and express in a space where she felt she belonged. Now, as a parent, and educator, Kate realises the importance for young people to experience that same joy. She can't wait to provide this experience for your children!

Hey everyone, a heartfelt thanks for being part of the Absolute Drama WA journey so far. I am stepping back temporarily to prioritise my family's needs. I have accepted a role, still in the education realm, and still deeply involved with supporting young people. While the company's taking a bow for now, my passion for creating safe spaces for young minds and making a positive impact in the community is unwavering. It’s not a final curtain call, just a brief intermission while I navigate the balance of work and family. I am so very grateful for your understanding and looking forward to future programs!
