Got empty blister packs from your medications? Don’t toss them in the bin! You can now drop them off for recycling at either Chemist Warehouse or Blooms The Chemist. 💊🏥

Blister packs are made of different materials, including plastic and aluminium. This is why they cannot be put into our yellow bins for kerbside recycling - they can only be recycled using specialised technology. ♻️🔄

By bringing them to these participating pharmacies, you’re helping to reduce landfill and support a more sustainable future. 🌍🌱 So next time you refill your prescription, bring your used blister packs along too! 😊👍

Junior Kitchen school incursions with years 3,4 and 5s at the lovely Brookman Primary School.

Christmas themed Junior Kitchen workshop City of South Perth yesterday. 20 kids cooking up some healthy fun recipes. with some great feedback received in a new way (see last photo).

Community event healthy food fun with City of Armadale’s Community Play Event at Explorer Park last week. Kids got creative and made edible vege and fruit faces while I chatted to parents about good nutrition for kids and the upcoming Food and Friends workshops. Win win!

Food and Friends final workshop on Waterwise Homes and Gardens. What a great group of people! Over 20 locals cooked up some fab BBQ recipes that we shared for lunch. Thanks to Fly for organising a card signed by the group, and some lovely individual thank you gifts! Wow! Thanks City of Armadale and Armadale Community Family Centre for making this happen. Big week last week with Wednesday’s Food and Friends #5 with the City of Armadale. Then had fun cooking up a small cheap storm! (using budget friendly recipes for one or two 😃) with lovely Seniors from City of Kwinana on Thursday and Secret Harbour for the City of Rockingham – Local Government on Friday.
