Bird sculptures getting their paper mache skin ready to decorate next week with feathers and all sorts of media. Wait till to see them! Artpod likes kids to work independently but help others too - to follow procedures at the start of construction but then create with their own imagination - best of both worlds!!!

Exploring gentle watercolour rendering of birds with Artpod @ Makerspace in Cottesloe… whilst singing silly duck songs of course!

Starts with teamwork- sometimes you just can’t do it all on your own…. and they might not look like much yet, but wait till you see these bird sculptures come together over a few weeks!!!

Painting abstract coloured backgrounds on canvas in preparation for next weeks Fi Wilkie inspired birds in the bush series. So fun to approach creative painting using intuition and planning. Look forward to seeing next week’s progression!

Making birds come to life using just wire, paper and tape- then paper mache the base armature and add feathers and other details . Will post the progress next week… can’t wait! # perthmums

It’s coming up to Magpie Season and these birds are incredible! Today we were resourceful like magpies and we made our own paintbrushes from nature, then splashed around some dye, drew our iconic magpies and created these awesome artworks with Artpod @ Beehive Montessori.
