Thank you to all the customers that I have had come through the workshop over the last 12 years at OzBiteGuitars . I've made a lot of great friends and enjoyed working on everyone's instruments over this time. I'll still be teaching but stopping all repairs and builds for now. Once I'm on top of my health conditions I will try restart that side of the company.
Thankyou once again to everyone

Ok so ....
My arms improving I shouldn't need a operation on it if the infection stays controlled and keeps heeling ok. Was touch n go there for bit what way it would go. But within the last 9 hours before they were going to operate the antibiotics they changed me to started to work. Thankyou for the support messages of concern I really appreciate it. I should get out today or tomorrow. Then rest and more antibiotics till it's healed 100%. Apologies again for any delayed jobs due to this, I will endeavour to get stuck into then soon as I've healed.

Hi guys unfortunately I've had a major reaction to a new injection I had for my Ra and AS. Full infection in my arm. It's really swollen and I'm looking at having surgery By plastic surgeons to remove the infection. So I will not be working this week, any repair jobs I won't be doing as I'm in hospital for the week.
Sorry for any inconvenience

Nice J*p jazz bass in for pickup upgrade and new electronics. Added two concentric pots so you have two volume and two tone controls. Also known as a 62 spec wiring. And added a series/ parallel switch to add boost and fatten sound when needed. Pots are CTS 500/250 k. The volume jump between series and parallel is not coming through in the recording like in the room due to the phones compression.
Highly recommend the series / parallel mod if you need a bigger fatter sound. Works great on bass and electric guitar for a boost.
The pickups I installed were Delano j bass pickups. Sound really nice n fat.
Also added two custom spec tone caps.
Cycle through a few to find the best match with pots and pickups etc.
And to Finnish it off some solid brass Allparts control k***s.

67 P bass I worked on. Cleaned frets up. Rehydrated the fret board. And rewired it back to original spec with original tone pot and original pickups after I cleaned and serviced the electronics.
Lovely bass to work on in great condition.

Fender USA in for a new neck. The customer wanted 13s on it and the original fender neck just kept slipping and the gave way alot so it wasn't to be. So I installed one of my wenge necks that I get in. Did a fret level , rolled neck edge , levelled heel for perfect contact, crowned frets and micro polish. Then installed the neck and cut nut. It sounds fantastic and the neck is under no stress t all with the 13s. These necks are so stable. Feels like a much more expensive guitar now. And intonation is spot on all over the neck. I installed locking tuners and a roller string tree. The brass saddles I added for better sustain and tone. This is now a lovely instrument, plays like butter and tone for days. A super stable neck and extremely comfortable in the hand. I still have a couple necks left if anyone wants to upgrade their necks.

We are closed for a couple days at least at this point. The fire got close to ours and the whole place stinks of smoke and there's ash everywhere. We were lucky the fire brigade were wetting our street to try help save the homes. All customers guitars I took off the premises untill were in the all clear. Still in high risk. And the winds are still pushing it towards our area. We are all safe and that the main thing. Sorry for any delays.

A Schecter in for new R2 Floyd nut and a gotoh Floyd style bridge as it had tuning issues and string slippage. It's a Huge improvement over the stock Floyd bridge. Brass block, Lock in springs. Adjustable tention on arm. A really good upgrade. And it now stays in tune so well three days now and not dropped out a bit. I've used trem every day several times a day and still intune. Pretty impressive gotoh.
