National Sorry Day National Reconciliation Week

In recognition of National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week, children engaged in meaningful learning experiences that encouraged respect, belonging, and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Through creating a humpy (traditional shelter) using natural materials, children explored the importance of home, community, and connection to Country. Children participated in conversations about what reconciliation means, sharing ideas about kindness, listening, fairness, and coming together. This learning experience supported children in developing empathy, cultural awareness, and respect for Australia’s shared histories and cultures. Matters

This Mother’s Day, we celebrated all the amazing mums, grandmothers, and special mother figures in our lives. 💐
Our children had so much fun creating a special homemade body scrub for their mums, carefully mixing rosemary, sea salt, magnesium, and coconut oil with lots of love and excitement. It was such a meaningful experience as they prepared something thoughtful and heartfelt to take home.
We also welcomed our families to a grab-and-go afternoon tea, creating a lovely opportunity to connect, celebrate, and show our appreciation for the incredible women who do so much every day.
Happy Mother’s Day to all our beautiful mums and families thank you for your love, care, and all that you do. ❤️

What did you do for clean up day Australia?

At Nido Wilson children participated in an excursion where they walked around the service and the car park to pick up rubbish,children also engaged in discussion on how they can keep the environment and community clean.

What an incredible journey it has been here at Nido Wilson, and we couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of our amazing families, dedicated educators, supportive management team, and valued community partners. Thank you to all for trusting us, believing in our vision, and walking alongside us every step of the way.

Over the past four years, we have watched little learners grow into confident, capable individuals and that is the greatest achievement of all. 🌱

This week our children explored the joy and traditions of this special celebration.

Our learning space was beautifully decorated in red a colour symbolising good luck and happiness and the children participated in a lovely painting pot experience. Families were also invited to participate in a “Make a Wish Tree” an experience , sharing hopes for the year ahead.

Moments like these help our children grow in cultural awareness, respect, and appreciation for the diverse communities around us. 🌏💛
