Our Year 5 and 6 students came together for a moving liturgy focused on empathy. Through prayer, Scripture, and student-led reflections, the students explored what it means to show care and understanding for others. A highlight was the beautiful liturgical dance, which brought the message to life in a powerful and reverent way.

Sacred Heart Primary School recently welcomed the Bright Futures STEM incursion for our Year 5 and 6 students. They took part in a range of engaging, handsâon activities, including using VR headsets, playing Dr Eureka, creating marble runs, and building simple circuits. These tasks encouraged teamwork, problemâsolving, and creative thinking while helping students explore realâworld STEM concepts in a fun, interactive way. A highlight of the session was learning how STEM skills are used in real careers. Students were inspired to consider future pathways and gained insight into how innovation, perseverance, and collaboration shape the world around us.

Sacred Heart staff recently travelled to Broome as part of our cityâcountry STEM Partnership with Chisholm Catholic College Bedford and St Maryâs Broome, supported by the Yadha Muru Foundation. The Foundation plays a vital role in strengthening relationships between schools, creating opportunities for shared learning, and fostering meaningful cultural connections.
Through its work with communities and education providers, the Foundation helps schools connect, learn from one another, and develop programs that enrich both staff and students. Its support has been central to our partnership with St Maryâs, enabling us to participate in experiences that deepen our understanding of STEM and culture.
The relationships formed during this trip will continue to strengthen our shared commitment to futureâfocused learning and engaging students in realâworld STEM opportunities across both our city and country school communities.
Happy Motherâs Day to our SHPSH mothers and mother figures đ. Thank you to our hardworking P&F Executive and all the school dads for spoiling our mothers on Friday for breakfast.

Congratulations to our Year 3 Penance candidates who received the sacrament of First Penance recently. It was a very special evening, facilitated by the parish, and well-supported by SHPSH families, staff and the Year 3 prayer friends. âď¸
YEAR FIVE EXCURSION. Our Year Five students recently spent the day in Fremantle, diving deep into Western Australiaâs convict past. Their visit to Fremantle Prison gave the students an insight into the lives of those once held there â from daily routines and the stark reality of Solitary Confinement to the legendary escape attempts of Moondyne Joe. After the tour, the group enjoyed a wellâearned lunch at Kailis Bros. The day continued with a visit to the WA Shipwrecks Museum, giving students another opportunity to explore our stateâs rich history. We are incredibly proud of how beautifully our students represented Sacred Heart throughout the entire excursion, especially after a member of the public went out of their way to compliment them on their outstanding manners and respectful behaviour during lunch.
