My name is Anara, and I am a 3rd year Speech Pathology Student; Mentor/Support worker; and mother of 2 very vibrant and rambunctious kiddos! I provide babysitting services to the Eastern suburbs of Perth, WA, and also freelance with another babysitting service outside of this region. As someone who has always cared for others, I strive to provide your children with a nurturing, safe and fun enviro

nment. With your permission, I can bring along age-specific toys or learning activities; or we can utilize my projector, build forts and have a movie night! I am here to help you take a break, while I support your parenting style, values, and beliefs! T&C apply

Price list:

$30 booking fee **non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within 48-hours of the service commencement time/date

$30 p/hr 1-2 children
$35 p/hr 3 children

Public holiday rates:

$40 p/hr 1-2 children
$45 p/hr 3 children

As some of you may know, I'm studying Speech Pathology. Last night I got to share some of my knowledge with the child I was looking after. This is their name, with one long and one short syllable. We had a chat about how the dark bits are noise, and the white bits are breaks in the sound wave. The blue line is pitch, and we discussed what that is, and how it relates to our vocal fold movement. The yellow line is intensity/amplitude/loudness of the sound; we discussed how we can use our lungs to make noises louder.

I am not a pro by any means, but I love sharing my passion for science and language with the kids I spend time with! There was lots of giggles as we took voice samples (all of which weren't kept - this spectogram is a recreation from my voice of their name).
