Australian Juror Decision Making Study
PhD research study examining the relationship between personal values and juror decision making.
02/06/2021
Hi everyone!
My name is Tiff and I am a Ph.D. candidate in Criminology at Edith Cowan University in Perth, WA. I am currently collecting data for my thesis and looking for participants from all around Australia.
I am exploring the relationship between people's personal values and their verdict decisions in a criminal case. The study involves completing two questionnaires on your values and attitudes, reading an excerpt from a trial transcript, and providing a verdict decision for the case (guilty vs. not guilty).
The whole study will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete (which I admit is a fair time commitment), so there are incentives attached to completion. These are explained in more detail in the information letter.

- For anyone completing on a mobile device: turn your phone landscape to make it easier to read the transcript.
You only need to be 18+ to participate (to reflect jury eligibility).
If you have any questions about the study or are interested in having a chat about the topic, feel free to message me or email me ([email protected]).
Cheers!
