Kids’ poster designs actually made it into one of Perth’s most whimsical cafés — Gemini!

As part of our diverse art curriculum, these posters were designed and created by students aged 10 and above, and are now on display at Gemini Café in Karrinyup.

Nan's Art House hopes that visual language will become part of how children and young people experience and enjoy the world around them.

We’re so grateful to the team at Gemini for trusting and inspiring our young designers. Here’s to more creative collaborations between local artists, educators, and dreamers — united by a shared goal: to make the best "cakes" and fill our lives with wonder.

Congratulations to our students Natalie 's 'aquatic whale' and Sophie's 'summer time' won the 2023Shaun Tan Award for Young Artist.

From over 1400 submissions across WA, the judges narrowed it down to 50 exhibited artists.

The winners of the 2023 Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists were celebrated at a ceremony in Subiaco Library and received a special address and feedback on their artworks from Shaun Tan.

The Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists encourages innovation and creativity and the judges are looking for originality of theme and concept. The award does not ask students to adhere to a particular theme in order to encourage innovation and individual ideas.
