Thank you to everyone who came along to Mount Pleasant Primary School parent session. We dived into the benefits and complexities that can swirl around 1:1 iPad technology, and how to best navigate balanced use at home in the primary years, knowing weβre also setting up our kids and family for the high school years too.

This awesome lady is Caroline Chellew, Manager of Corporate Services at Sevenoaks Senior College.
We first met Caroline when she dropped off some obsolete IT from the school, we had a great chat and gave her a tour and showed her just what we do here at Sam's Spares.
We highlighted a need for students in her school and have supported Sevenoaks with 20 laptops and 10 Desktop Computers for students in need this past month.
Caroline put the word out across her network that we had just run out of laptop bags.
So many wonderful schools answered the call and this week Caroline showed up with 300 laptop bags from 7 schools π
A huge shout out and a thank you to:

π³70 Trees for 70 Years π³
Mount Pleasant Primary School was founded in 1953 and to celebrate our 70th Birthday, the school in collaboration with the P&C Association commenced planning last year to develop a native urban forest using the Miyawaki method.
We will be planting 70 trees in the south-east corner of the school. The project aim is to develop a multi layered woodland for our children to play and native birds to thrive. The trees will be planted by the students (with helpers!) on Tuesday 11th June. As part of the project we will be moving the existing sandpit/long jump and improving this facility.
We are inviting the community to be a part of the project by contributing with a donation to the trees. There are various donation options available. We will have permanent signs created to commemorate the 70 year project with contributors names to be displayed.
You can make your donation here: https://www.trybooking.com/CSAAT
Please share with any past students or families of the school!

Dear Parents/ Caregivers,
We are delighted to invite all families and caregivers to attend the school ANZAC Service, being hosted by Room 17 students. The ceremony will take place outdoors, on Wednesday April 24th, in the quadrangle area, at 11.15-12.15pm. There will be some bench seating available on the perimeter of the quadrangle, however you may choose to bring your own folder chair (Please remember to bring a hat).
Could families please send flowers in with the students on April 24th, Wednesday morning at 8.30am. Please deliver the flowers to the quadrangle area, where tables will be set up in preparation of sorting and arranging the flowers into small wreaths for each class to place at the flagpole during the ceremony. Classroom representatives will assist Mrs Dennerley in arranging the bunches in the quadrangle area, between 9.00-10.30 prior to the service. The flowers will be placed under the flagpole by two students from each class during the whole school service. (There is no need to purchase flowers, hand-picked small bunches and rosemary will be perfect).
*Please ask your children to deliver their flowers to the quadrangle at 8.30am on Wednesday April 24th.
