EXPERIENCED COORDINATOR
Are you a motivated and talented Early Childhood Professional who would like to join a small, dedicated team?

Just For Kids Family Day Care Service is located in Thornlie WA. We are passionate about the care and education of children in home-based settings. We are looking for a family day care coordinator who shares our passion and beliefs.

Key duties relate to the provision of high-quality early childhood education and care. Your excellent communication skills will assist you to work collaboratively with educators, community agencies; parents and other team members in maintaining a quality Education and Child Care service.

Specific qualifications and requirements
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Working with Children Check.
• Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (HDTLAID004).
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) including the Education and Care Law and Regulations, EYLF and My Time Our Place
• Child Protection Training (can be completed after commencement)
• Previous experience in Family Day Care an advantage.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills are necessary.

Some other things that we will be looking for:
• Proven ability to motivate educators to enhance their care and educational skills.
• Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in the Early Childhood industry.
• Knowledge of the CCS system.
• Demonstrated sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF)
• A Working knowledge of child development.
• A Working knowledge of community development and networking skills; good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Harmony Software or similar Software provider desired
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of relevant health, hygiene, welfare, and safety issues; and
• Proven ability to work in a small team.
• High-level time management and attention to detail skills.
• Exceptional organisation skills – ability to prioritise many competing tasks.
• Very strong interpersonal skills – with the ability to build rapport with a wide cross section of the community.

Tasks and responsibilities
• Work in partnership with Educators to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education.
• Provide regular home visits and telephone contact.
• Monitor Educator’s equipment and resources to facilitate high-quality care.
• Monitor standards of care and ensure hygiene, nutrition, health and safety guidelines and regulations are being met.
• Monitor care to ensure compliance against regulations and the National Quality Framework.
• Assist Educators in making improvements and modifications to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Organise playgroups for attendance by groups of Educators.
• Provide information pertaining to children and families that will support in Educators in providing the highest quality.
• Provide information and support to assist the Educator in providing improved services.
• Guide and support the Educator in the purchase of appropriate toys and resources.
• Provide information to Educators on where and how toys and resources can be borrowed.
• Guide and support the Educator to provide an inclusive, culturally, and developmentally appropriate environment for children.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and modelling to Educators in regard to best practices.
• Provide ongoing support and assistance as required to Educators in areas of administration, program development, parent and community networking, staff professional development and training, and other areas as requested.
• Support the facilitation of Educator’s successful implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan.
