Be Studying ITTOs

Since my last post here, I've finished off all the certs I was interested in at the Management & Strategy Institute, and have been doing a few certificates with the Institute for Challenging Disorganization.

Despite their website being clunky as Hell, the lectures and content there are pretty excellent. By the end, I hope to have their Chronic Disorganization Specialist and Time Management & Productivity Specialist certificates.

What makes this content unique? They teach people to work with people who have seen and tried all the stock standard methods. They recognise neurodiversity, age, personality types, cultural and family issues, can all come in to play. And most of all, they recognise that perfectionism is its own trap.

In learning to help understand and overcome disorganisation traits, you'll help to keep your projects moving forward. I strongly recommend their classes to everyone who signed up here, interested in improving their project management.

Not all Waterfall PM certifications have to be dry, dusty and heavy on abstraction and theory. This is a nice one I've taken recently:

Certified Quality Event Planner (CQEP)

There's Waterfall content in there, but it's strongest on the practical things you need to consider when planning events. Events can be anything from running a stall at a trade show, through to running a trade show. Weddings, parties, anything; as the saying goes.

In your career as a project manager for a business, chances are you'll be roped into this kind of thing at some point 🙂

Hello everyone. It's been a while. Hope your studies are going well, for all of you getting certifications out of the way.

For my own part, I'm currently studying for certifications that lead to MSI's new one, "Process Improvement Excellence Certified (PIEx)." To get there, you need to have four others including the Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. I'm two down, two to go :)
