Fast progress built on weak foundations rarely lasts.
We see it all the time - athletes wanting butterfly pull-ups before they can control strict pull-ups.

Wanting bar muscle-ups without the pulling strength underneath them.

Skipping steps might feel faster… until progress stalls.
The athletes with the highest ceilings usually spent the longest mastering the basics.

Strict strength first.
Skill expression second.

Because the problem with skipping steps is eventually your body collects the debt. Poor positions, plateaus and injuries.

At NVLD, we believe in earning progression properly.
If you value proper movement, strong foundations, and earning progression before adding complexity… you’ll fit in here.

Confidence doesn’t come before - it comes after.
And progress isn’t fast - but it’s worth it.

This is how we do things at NVLD.
It’s not just about showing up and doing a workout.
Everything we do has a purpose.
From how we program…
to how we coach…
to the environment we’ve built.
We follow principles, not trends.
We coach movement properly.
We measure progress so you can actually see it.
And we make sure training fits the individual,
so you can keep showing up consistently.
Because the goal isn’t to just train hard.
It’s to improve.
Stronger. Fitter. More capable.
Week after week.
And along the way - Not take s**t so seriously 🫶

I used to sit in a 9–5 knowing something didn’t quite feel right. Not bad… just not it.

So I made a call, stepped away from the “safe” path and backed myself without really knowing how it would play out.

Phuket was the first real leap.
A lot of learning, a lot of coaching… and a hell of a lot of training. Made some lifelong friends along the way.

From there → Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Worked alongside great coaches, raising my standards, and starting to really understand what good training and coaching looks like.

Then Dubai.
Another risk, another reset… and a pretty wild time to land there just before everything shut down.

Eventually, I came back home to Perth and opened a small studio in Bibra Lake.
Nothing crazy, just a small space, a handful of people, and a clear focus on doing things properly.

From there, we took another leap…
Signed a warehouse and built what NVLD is today.
And honestly it hasn’t been all smooth.

Running a small business comes with pressure, uncertainty, long hours… all of it.

But what’s made it worth it is the people.
The coaches I’ve worked alongside.
The friendships built over the years.
And the members who’ve trusted us, shown up, and put in the work.

Celebrating 5 years in…
Still building. Still learning. Still refining.
And I wouldn’t change it.

I used to think we were a gym for everyone.
Over time I’ve realised we’re not.
And that’s a good thing.
When we first opened NVLD, the goal was simple - create a place where people could train hard and that was pretty much it..
But the longer we’ve coached, programmed, and worked with hundreds of members, the clearer something became.
The people who really thrive here tend to want the same things.
They’re not just chasing a sweaty workout.
They want structure.
They want to know there’s a plan behind what they’re doing.
They want to practice movements, get better at them, and see their numbers improve over time.
They want coaching, not just someone pressing a timer.
They want accountability, a place where people notice if they disappear for a few weeks.
And they want to train in an environment where others are also showing up consistently and pushing in the same direction.
It might not be the flashiest approach.
But it’s what we do best.
So no, NVLD isn’t for everyone.
But for people who want a plan, guidance, and a place where progress actually matters, it tends to feel like the right fit pretty quickly.
