Smart Plant Improvement is an Industry-funded research team developing innovative pre-breeding technologies in grain & pasture legume species & food crops.

We are an Industry-funded team of nine. Our research is funded from a range of sources – predominantly The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), but also Cooperative Research Centre (CRC), CRC-P, consultancies with Go8 Universities and private companies/ biotech start-ups. Abiotic and biotic screening in accelerated SSD breeding programs
