Setting hard boundaries means you are being unfriendly or selfish? That's not the case.

Boundaries are a healthy form of self-preservation. Saying no allows you to reclaim safety and autonomy over your personal space.

Healing isn't perfection. Whenever you're ready — we're here.

If you can't remember every detail of what happened, it means it wasn't that bad? That's not the case.
Memory loss or fragmentation is a natural neurological defense mechanism during trauma. Incomplete memories do not invalidate your experiences.

Healing isn't perfection. Whenever you're ready — we're here.

A survivor who is angry hasn't moved on from what happened? That's not the case
Anger can be part of processing what happened. It doesn't mean someone is stuck.

It can mean they're finally safe to feel something they weren't allowed to feel before.
Whatever you're feeling right now, it's a safe space here.

Phoenix is back with its weekly Myth and Fact series

Struggling to trust people isn't pushing others away. It often comes from a child’s trust being broken. That's a protective response, not rejection.

Trust in others can be rebuilt, but at a survivor's own pace, not anyone else's.

Whenever you're ready, we're here.

Phoenix lands at UWA campus.

Today we joined forces with UWA Amnesty International at the UWA O DAY, bringing the conversation about Wreckage to the next generation of advocates, changemakers, and community members right on campus.
The Amnesty team were incredible, welcoming us, engaging students, and helping us spread the word about the social issues this film is addressing, what it means, and why 30 July is a night worth showing up for.
This is exactly the kind of community Wreckage deserves.

See you Thursday night.
