📅 World Day for Safety & Health at Work | 28 April 2026

Safety is core to everything we teach — from electrical fundamentals to high-risk scenarios. On this World Day, CET encourages everyone, including students, trainers and host employers, to reflect on how safety is embedded into learning, decision-making and everyday actions.

This year’s theme expands that focus to include psychosocial hazards — like stress, workload and workplace culture — because a truly safe workplace values both physical and mental wellbeing.

A strong step forward for the future of the electrical industry in WA.

The Big Sister Program has officially launched at CET’s Joondalup campus, and the response has been clear — this is a program with real impact.

From pre-apprenticeship through to on-the-job mentoring, Big Sister is creating real pathways for women to enter, stay, and succeed in the trade.

The early results are already promising, with strong participation rates and growing momentum across the industry.
