Yep, that's in my opinion!

One of the many things I learned while practicing Essentrics is 'body awareness.'

Learning more about what your body is capable of is amazing and creates a beautiful relationship. It's sexy when you love yourself, no matter if you are still working through limitations.

10 Tips for Rapid Healing with Essentrics ✨

1️⃣Focus on increasing blood flow to the entire body in order to bring healing nutrients to injured areas

2️⃣The muscles need to be relaxed the entire time you are exercising

3️⃣Never push to the end of a movement; always hold back from going to your limits

4️⃣Movements should be small, not large

When I think of role models I think of Miranda Esmonde White. She is 73 years old.

She is the founder of Essentrics and Classical Stretch.

Her drive I'm sure has come from many things. One thing is for sure she is a beacon for those who want to live a long and vibrant life.

I'm not surprised that Essentrics can be a cardio workout. Some of them have had me puffing, sweating and challenging myself both physically and mentally. I don't want to scare anyone off but I assure you it will be nothing like you have ever done before.

WHY INCLUDING STRENGTH TRAINING AT MIDLIFE MATTERS…

I often hear and see, especially for women, weight loss is the main goal that's focused on when making the decision to undergo changes with their diet and exercise.

I really encourage you gorgeous ‘mid-lifers’ to shift this thinking, if this is you and focus more on your mobility, strength, longevity, managing symptoms and future proofing your future health.

Any form of exercise/movement is good for you, but at midlife, including some form of strength training is incredibly important.

Why?
At midlife, you start to loose lean muscle and strength, which then impacts everything from our energy,
balance, co-ordination, joint issues and mental and bone health

Including any form of strength training will not only help prevent and avoid any listed above issues but you may also even loose some weight along the way as a by product, not a sole focus!

This week, I’m going to share quite a lot around this and how, why, what different ways we can incorporate this important activity and I’ll be interviewing Gina Mais, who’s passion and knowledge for fitness and an incredible form of strengthening movement called Essentrics in a live on Wednesday evening!!

Since the break from teaching classes, I have not practiced much myself. Boy, my body felt the break, that is for sure!

This week I have explored Essentrics TV and realised how much conditioning I have lost. I love this modality and how much it is challenging yet easy.

I want to share with you how Essentrics works compared to strength training that I have been doing consistently for a few months.

One may say, 'but how can you feel out of shape when you lift weights.' My answer is - Essentrics works not only the superficial muscles such as the biceps, triceps, traps, quads, hamstrings, deltoids, pectorals, etc. But specifically, it works the intricate deeper muscles, the muscles surrounding the joints, the rotator cuff (shoulder), the hips, the spinal muscles and much more. These deeper muscles are often overlooked and undervalued. Essentrics is so powerful because it includes all muscles in every workout.

Essentrics is a beautiful balance between challenging your strength, mobility and flexibility and the ease of flow, movement and grace.

It's safe to say that the break I have had from teaching and practising this modality has given me a hunger to express it to people more.

I can't wait for the weather to warm up in the mornings, mostly to get back to teaching in person. Until then, please check out Essentrics TV or YouTube clips.

I totally concur...

In just 20 minutes or less is all it takes to start your day on the right foot ( or left which ever one you prefer 😂)

Essentrics is unique and is backed by science but no body cares about that - what you want is - to feel good, to relieve pain, to gain energy and un-stiff your stiffness....

IT JUST FEELS GOOD!
