Strawberry 🍓 Picking

Today we ventured out to one of our local strawberry farms with a small group of children. The sunny weather was calling us, and the children have shown interest in picking fruit and vegetables, as this is something we do frequently back at the service using our garden. Exploring the nearby community is a very positive experience for children, allowing them to become familiar with what's around them and aid in new learning.
I observed team work, curiosity, enthusiasm, and delight, as the children filled a lovely box of strawberries, and then shared them so they could all take an even amount home.

I am so grateful for all the love, support and appreciation I received today for earning this award.

And of course, thank you to all of my children, who are the heart and soul of this little community. Also, thank you to Dr Maria Montessori and her method, her philosophy, and legacy which inspires me every single day and I try and keep alive in everything we do here.
