Today we want to share with you the story of our student Riya .

She started coming to Confident Stars in term 1 Ria is naturally a shy and introverted girl.

Her parents wanted her to build her confidence.

We worked with her fear of other people, laughing at her when she speaks in the front of the room.

We’re not only give her a safe environment to practice her speaking skills, but he also worked on the root cause of on her fears .

We applied several strategies, such as affirmations, practice, writing things down structure of speech to name a few.

By the end of term three. Ria actually told off the for all the boys in the class and she said to them that if you don’t want to sit next to me if you think I’m a teacher’s pet that’s okay.

I don’t want to sit next to you and yes I am a teacher’s pet .

I am super proud of Ria and this is her transformational journey .

We are ready and having fun already ! Are you coming ?

Who thought Jenga could be used as blocks to make a palace for king and the queen with special toilet facilities for the guests 😜😉🤣

In the October school holidays, we ran our origami and storytelling workshop in City Of Kalamunda ‘s  Forrest Field library.

We are very very happy and proud to share that we got 100% positive feedback from the children and parents

We want to thank City of Kalamunda for giving us this opportunity and we look forward to running more workshops in the other libraries that the city has.
