Are you a teacher, or the parent or caregiver of a child 0-18 years? We want to hear from you!
The freshSNAP team, together with Edith Cowan University (ECU) Master of Dietetics students, is developing practical resources to help families better understand potential health outcomes from energy drink consumption.
We’re looking to hear from parents and caregivers of children aged 0-18, or teachers, about the concerns you face with your children wanting to consume energy drinks.
By completing our quick 5-minute survey, you can help us design tailored resources that reflect your questions and concerns.
Energy drink consumption among young people is an increasing concern due to the potential impacts on sleep, concentration, and overall health.
Currently, there is limited understanding of the knowledge, confidence, and support that parents and caregivers need in addressing children’s energy drink consumption.
This project aims to fill the gap by creating practical resources about energy drinks, designed specifically to meet the needs of parents and caregivers.
By sharing your experiences and thoughts, you’ll help us develop materials that are relevant, engaging, and truly responsive to what families need.

National Reconciliation Week is here, and we’re All in.
The 2026 theme, All In, is a call for all Australians to commit to reconciliation every single day.
"All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.
The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long.
Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us." - Reconciliation Australia

Nutrition education isn’t one-size-fits-all 🍎📚
For younger students, the focus is on building positive attitudes and confidence around food. As they grow, they become ready to develop simple, practical skills like putting together their own snacks and lunchboxes 🥪✨
We recently visited Tuart Hill Primary School to deliver a Year 6 classroom incursion for students preparing for high school next year. Together, we explored the 5 core food groups and how combining them helps fuel growth, energy, and concentration ⚡🧠
Students then brought their learning to life by creating their own balanced lunchboxes using our food models, each including at least three different food groups!
Our freshSNAP.ed resource are designed to follow a scope and sequence, building on skills and learning and ensuring lessons are age appropriate. Explore our resource for FREE today on our website https://buff.ly/LZ7G614

HAPPY P&C DAY WA!
Today we say THANK YOU to WA’s amazing P&Cs!! You all contribute so much to our schools and communities. Your dedication and passion are incredible and we’re so grateful to each and every one of you.
At last count, on average WA P&Cs donated an estimated total of $15 million and nearly 500,000 volunteer hours each year to Western Australian public school communities. Today, we recognise and acknowledge that each hour volunteered and dollar donated goes towards outstanding school experiences for our kids.
We encourage school communities to get on board, share the P&C light, and let your local P&C know that you appreciate all the amazing things they do.
