🌱✨ Little hands, big growth! This month the children at our centre planted fresh veggies and bright flowers — learning, exploring, and watching nature come to life. 🌼🥕💚

As we begin our NAIDOC Week celebrations, we honour and celebrate the rich history and culture of First Nations peoples. To mark the start of the week, our Babies Room created a sensory experience where children explored the colours of the Indigenous flag and the textures of coloured rice.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome a very special guest to our center!
As you may know, we are fortunate to have Simone as part of our team, and her older brother is Jason Johannisen, a player for the Western Bulldogs!
The children had been eagerly requesting Simone to invite Jason for a visit during the school holidays, and they were thrilled when he came by to chat with them and kick the footy!

“Let nature be your teacher” - William Wordsworth
The kindy children enjoying their excursion to the park and exploring all of the natural materials around them. They used some of the things they found on the ground to make a teepee!

Here at Glen Iris we provided the children to explore this taste-safe sensory play using Tapioca pearls the children were happily playing in the slimeing texture. The vibrant colours and squishy feel of the pearls captivated their curiosity, sparking giggles. The sensory experience not only delighted their senses but also encouraged social interaction and creative thinking. Watching their faces light up with wonder and joy was a testament to the simple yet profound impact of sensory play.

On Thursday, May 23rd, we organised an event at the center for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea!
Our dedicated staff and children worked hard to set up the morning and prepare delicious treats for the families attending.
A huge thank you goes out to all our families who contributed to this event. All funds raised will support cancer research efforts

It’s heartwarming to receive such positive feedback! Our team is dedicated to making every child feel at home at our centre, and it’s truly rewarding to see their growth and development over time.
