Kindy in the Park is a small and nurturing not for profit community pre-kindergarten for 2 and a 1/2-year-olds to 4-year-olds located in Mt Claremont.

Big thanks to katechaneymp for the Community Grant allowing us to purchase outdoor Umbrellas to ensure our kids, staff and volunteers enjoy the hot weather under shade.

Little learners at work ✏️✨
Today the children practiced recognising letters and sounds, then traced them with cotton buds to strengthen fine motor control and early writing skills. Such a simple, engaging way to build confidence with pre-drawing, hand-eye coordination, and early literacy! 💛

Jasmine flower creations in full bloom! 🌼
Today the children explored painting, blowing edible dye, and stamping with toilet rolls to create their own beautiful jasmine flowers. Such a fun mix of colour, creativity, fine motor skills, and sensory learning — and the results were gorgeous! ✨🎨

Before pencils come playground skills:
* Crossing the monkey bars (shoulder, core and hand strength for writing!)
* Balancing on one foot (core stability for sitting!)
* Catching a ball (visual tracking for reading!)
* Jumping on hopscotch path (bilateral coordination for reading and writing!)
The playground is the BEST classroom for school readiness!
