BIG Kids on Beaufort

Recently, our BIG Kids have been exploring letter recognition, letter sounds and early writing skills through hands-on literacy experiences. As they trace letters, make connections and build confidence with mark-making, they’re developing important foundations that will support them as they transition to school. 🏫

And judging by the focus around the table, they’re loving every minute of it. 💛

A little behind-the-scenes look at something BIG Kids has been quietly working on lately… 🌿

Over the past couple weeks, our outdoor environment has undergone a thoughtful transformation to create a more open, engaging and purposeful space for the children to explore, move and play.

While our much-loved fort created so many special memories over the years, it was time for the space to evolve in a way that better supports the children’s growing need for movement, independence, imaginative play and open-ended exploration, while still encouraging safe and meaningful risky play opportunities.

With more room to run, climb, create and roam freely, we’re so proud of how the environment has come together and so excited to finally share it with our community.

There’s been lots of quiet excitement at BKOB as the children get ready to celebrate the very special people in their lives.

We’re looking forward to welcoming our mums in next week for our Mother’s Day Breakfast.

Yesterday was ANZAC day.
Across both Kids on Beaufort and Big Kids on Beaufort, the children and educators took time during the week to acknowledge this special day together. 🌺

The children were gently introduced to the importance of remembering those who served and sacrificed for our country - through simple conversations, moments of reflection and shared creative experiences.

Mandarin Mondays begin tomorrow at BKOB. 🇨🇳✨

We’re so excited to welcome Leaf back as the children begin exploring Mandarin together through songs, movement and play.

Such a special way to begin Term 2. 🌿

On Monday we celebrated 4 years of BKOB. 😱🥳

Four years of relationships, shared moments, growing alongside families and building a community that feels truly special to be part of. 🥰

It was lovely to mark the occasion together with cupcakes, laughter and time spent with the children, our team and the people who helped shape BKOB from the beginning.

We feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a connected community. Thank you to all the families who have been part of the story so far.

Here’s to the years ahead together. 🫶🏽
