Consider this your friendly little reminder to start thinking books, characters and costumes… 👀

Book Week is always such a fun one at KOB & BKOB. It’s a chance for some of our favourite stories to jump off the pages and into the centre, with plenty of imagination, creativity and very excited little book lovers along the way. 💚

So, it might be time to ask your little one who they’d love to come dressed as and get those costumes and favourite books ready!

Our environments are intentionally created to invite play and curiosity, while giving children the freedom to take their learning in their own direction. 🙌🏽

Sometimes it looks like building a tower.

Sometimes it’s negotiating whose turn comes next.

Sometimes it’s asking “What if we tried it this way?”

At BIG Kids on Beaufort, we know some of the most meaningful learning happens when children are immersed in play that they’ve chosen themselves.

We’re heading into Week 2 of our school holiday program, with another week of exciting experiences planned for the children.

From dancing and treasure hunts to painting, movies and a Teddy Bears Picnic 🧺🧸 - we can’t wait to welcome everyone for another wonderful week together.

School holidays are in full swing at BKOB! đź’›

Week 1 has been filled with creativity, messy play, pizza making and plenty of laughter, with even more fun still to come.

Tomorrow, the children will be getting active for Sports Day before finishing the week with a relaxing Pamper Day on Friday. 🤗

School holidays at BKOB are about more than keeping busy. They’re about giving children the space to play, connect, create and simply enjoy being kids.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week and next week brings. 🫶🏽

For NAIDOC Week, our BKOB community came together to listen, learn and celebrate. 🤎

We were honoured to welcome Brent, an Aboriginal artist and musician, who shared music, stories and traditional instruments, including the didgeridoo, with our children.

Through music, storytelling and conversation, the children explored the rich histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, asking questions, sharing their thoughts and engaging with genuine curiosity.

Recently, our BIG Kids have been exploring letter recognition, letter sounds and early writing skills through hands-on literacy experiences. As they trace letters, make connections and build confidence with mark-making, they’re developing important foundations that will support them as they transition to school. 🏫

And judging by the focus around the table, they’re loving every minute of it. 💛
