Exploring Aboriginal symbols through mud play!
Children enjoyed a sensory experience using natural textures and marks inspired by Aboriginal art and storytelling. Such a beautiful way to learn through play and creativity.

What a fantastic two weeks at Banksia Kids Vacation Care! 🌟

Week one was full of creativity and fun with Easter crafts, a visit to the local library, decorating their own bags, and an exciting Lego challenge that brought out great teamwork and imagination.

Week two was just as exciting, with our little genius scientists exploring and experimenting, a fun trip to Mills Park playground, and our little chefs making their own lunch. The Happy Feet incursion had everyone singing and dancing, and we ended the holidays on a high with a fun-filled disco! 💃🕺

It’s been a joyful school holiday program filled with laughter, learning, and wonderful memories. Thank you to our amazing educators and children for making it so special at Banksia Kids Beckenham Early Learning Centre! 💛

World pizza day
🍕 World Pizza Day at Banksia Kids Early Learning 🍕
Today we celebrated World Pizza Day with a fun and hands-on cooking experience for our babies, toddlers, and kindy children!
The children loved making their very own pizzas, exploring ingredients, and using tongs to create their own unique masterpieces. This experience supported fine motor skills, independence, and creativity—plus it was lots of fun!
We also loved having parents join us during the experience, helping to encourage and support the children as they cooked together. Thank you to our families for being part of such a special day 💛

⭐️ Waitangi Day ⭐️

To celebrate Waitangi Day all of our rooms did such fun and exciting activities to explore the New Zealand culture as they celebrate their first signing of their country.

Our babies room created their own feather cloaks using paper feathers, brown paper bags and glue, after they finished they held them up to wear them as their own feather cloaks.

The toddlers room explored circle discs as they discussed how it means the circle of life in New Zealand culture, the toddlers then used play dough and strings to create their own circle disc necklaces.

Kindy had so much fun as they created the New Zealand flag they used shredded coloured paper and glue to stick them onto the blank flag, during this activity they explored the colours of the New Zealand flag.
