🌸 Mother’s Day Celebration at Kensington Montessori 🌸

What a beautiful afternoon celebrating our incredible mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures 💕

Our community came together for a joyful celebration filled with laughter, love, and connection. Families enjoyed fun activities including balloon popping, the paper dance challenge, and the much-loved Guess the Child’s Eyes game 👀

It was a heartwarming reminder of the strong partnerships we share with our families and the special role they play in our children’s lives.

Last week our Kensington Montessori community came together to celebrate Holi, the Festival of Colours. It is a vibrant cultural tradition that welcomes spring and symbolises renewal, unity and the triumph of good over negativity. 🌈

The children had so much fun taking part in our Holi celebration, watching the bright colours fill the air and create a magical sea of colour around us. It was such a joyful experience that brought everyone together in the spirit of happiness, inclusion and fun.
Following the colour play, the children participated in a cooking experience, making ladoos (coconut balls).As the children rolled the mixture into small balls, they engaged in meaningful practical life skills pouring, mixing, shaping while also learning about cultural foods and traditions.

What a vibrant and memorable way to celebrate as a centre! ✨ # # # #

🏮 Happy Lunar New Year 2026! 🏮

What a great week our K.M children have had filled with culture, connection, and celebration! 🧧

Our children were excited to create their own beautiful Chinese lanterns by carefully cutting, folding, and decorating while learning about the traditions behind this special celebration.

We were honoured to welcome Mr. L’s grandparents, who shared stories, books, and meaningful Lunar New Year decorations from their family. The children were fascinated by the fish ornaments symbolising abundance and prosperity, and loved hearing about family traditions.

Our Children’s House children also enjoyed preparing fresh noodles from scratch by mixing, kneading, and shaping the dough with care. As they explored the textures and aromas, they learned that noodles represent long life and good fortune.
There was a true sense of pride as they prepared the noodles for their afternoon tea, experiencing the joy of contributing to their community.

Kensington Montessori's End of Year Celebration & Graduation 2025 🎓✨

Last week we celebrated our amazing learners heading off to school for the first time! We’re so proud of how far you’ve come and can’t wait to see where your curiosity takes you next. 💛💖❤️🎊

A huge thank you to our families for your support, food platters, gifts, and joyful energy you made the day truly special.🌲🌲

Our celebrations highlights included an exciting Wildly Educational🦂🪱 incursion sparking wonder and respect for nature, and a meaningful raffle supporting Breast Cancer🌷 patients, teaching children the value of kindness and giving.

We celebrated the Festival of Lights with joy, colour, and as a community with vibrant art ,bollywood dancing to delicious food and sweet treats!
A special thank you to one of our lovely parents for sharing the meaning of Diwali with our children and bringing sweets to share. Big shoutout to our Curtin University placement preservice teacher for designing a stunning Rangoli with our children at our entrance ❤️

📚 Adventures, laughter & stories come alive at Kensington Montessori's Book Week! 🐛🍪

Our children truly “Booked an Adventure” as we joined Kensington Primary School’s colourful Book Week Parade 2025!

A big congratulations to one of our Little Explorers, who won the award for the Best Dressed costume of the Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛🍎🍉. She was presented the award by guest author Craig Silvey (RUNT)!

Back at Montessori, our educators brought The Gingerbread Man to life with laughter, storytelling, and cheers all around. 🍪❤️

Harmony Day celebrations at Kensington Montessori Early Learning Centre.🇮🇳🇱🇦🇲🇫🇱🇰🇲🇩🇲🇷🇲🇾🇦🇺🇺🇲

Our K.M learners and educators immersed into a vibrant day of cultural exploration and joy for Harmony day celebrations by dressing in traditional cultural clothing creating a colourful and welcoming environment that brought learning to life.The sight of the colours and diversity was truly heartwarming and harmonious in the right sense of the word, marking the celebration of this day truly special.
We joined Kensington Primary school for the Harmony day parade. This experience was truly mesmerizing for all our children and an exposure to the world outside especially the 'big school".

Throughout the week we had many parents come for a visit and share their culture, stories, and time with us!
