Creativity, Care & Sustainability ✨🌿

How beautiful is this sensory board created by our wonderful educator, Annelies!

Using recycled materials, Annelies thoughtfully created an engaging sensory experience for the children to explore, touch, investigate and discover. We absolutely love seeing our educators use their creativity to transform everyday materials into meaningful learning opportunities. ♻️

We feel incredibly lucky to have educators who put so much thought, care and intention into the experiences they create for our children. It’s these little touches that make our learning environments so special. 🥰

Thank you, Annelies, for bringing such a beautiful idea to life! 🌱✨

🍃Happy Educators’ Day! 🍃

Today we celebrate the incredible educators who make our Nido Padbury community so special. 💛

Every day, our educators create spaces where children feel safe, valued, heard and inspired to explore. Through moments of connection, curiosity, creativity and play, they nurture each child’s unique journey and help them discover the world around them.

Being an educator is so much more than teaching — it’s listening to children’s ideas, noticing the little moments, wondering alongside them, celebrating their achievements and helping them grow with confidence. 🌱

To our wonderful Nido Padbury educators, thank you for the love, patience, passion and dedication you bring to our children and families each and every day.

You make a difference that lasts a lifetime. ✨

Happy Educators’ Day! We are so grateful for each and every one of you. 💐

On Monday we kicked off our Book Week celebrations with a special visit to our local library with our Classroom 3 children! 📖✨

Following our love for reading and continuing our transportation inquiry, the children became little explorers as we walked through our local community, keeping our eyes out for all the different ways people travel; cars, trucks, buses, bikes and more!

Once we arrived, the librarian shared a wonderful transportation story with us, helping us extend on the children’s interests, ideas and growing knowledge.

The children then had the opportunity to explore through train sets and Duplo, creating their own vehicles, tracks and constructions while engaging in lots of imaginative and collaborative play.

What a wonderful way to begin Book Week — connecting books, community, play and our current inquiry in a meaningful way.

✨ Meet Diana — Our Chef ✨

We are so excited to introduce Diana, a long-standing and much-loved member of the Nido Padbury family, who has recently stepped into the role of our Chef. Diana has been part of our service for quite some time and her transition into this role feels like a natural and beautiful next step.

With a genuine love for cooking and preparing warm, wholesome meals, Diana brings care and intention into everything she creates in the kitchen. She understands how important nutritious food is for growing children and takes pride in preparing meals that not only nourish little bodies but also bring comfort and joy throughout the day.

We are so grateful to have Diana in this role and truly appreciate the warmth, care and nourishment she brings to Nido Padbury each day. ✨

Our Chicken Life Cycle Inquiry Continues! 🌿🐔

The curiosity is growing in Classroom 5 as the children continue their inquiry into the life cycle of a chicken!

As their knowledge and ideas have developed, so has their play. The children have now begun designing and creating their very own chicken coop, thinking about what chickens need, where they live and how we can care for them.

Our educators are supporting the children to lead the direction of the inquiry, asking questions, sharing theories, problem-solving together and revisiting their ideas as their understanding grows.

We love seeing an interest evolve into a deeper investigation where children can research, design, create and bring their thinking to life through play.

We can't wait to see how their chicken coop and their inquiry continues to grow! 🐣

♻️💚 Containers for Change Update – Our Community Has Chosen! 💚♻️

Over the last few weeks, our Nido Padbury community—including families, children and educators have been voting to choose a local charity to receive the funds raised through our Containers for Change initiative.

We’re excited to announce that we have chosen…

🌱 Padbury Community Garden Inc.

Padbury Community Garden is a community-led charity that brings people together through gardening, community events and shared experiences. They are passionate about supporting positive mental health and wellbeing and proudly promote the Act, Belong, Commit message, encouraging people to stay active, connect with others and become involved in their community. Funds raised help support their programs, maintain the community garden, and create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to connect, learn and grow.

Our Containers for Change collection bin has arrived! We invite our families to start bringing in eligible drink containers and placing them in the collection bin located in our foyer. We would also like to extend this invitation to our wider Padbury community, simple stop by our centre and add them to our collection bin!

As part of this initiative, our children will proudly take the collected containers on a short walk to the nearby Containers for Change collection point.

Thank you for supporting this wonderful initiative and helping us create a more sustainable and connected community—one container at a time! ♻️

At Nido Early School Padbury, child safety has always been at the heart of everything we do.

That's why we're proud to be joining a growing number of early childhood services that have made the commitment to no longer share identifiable images of children's faces on social media.

In today's digital world, every child begins building a digital footprint long before they understand what it means. While a photo may seem like a simple moment captured, once shared online it can remain there indefinitely. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to decide for themselves what their digital presence looks like as they grow older.

You may notice that we have removed photos showing children's faces from our social media pages. Moving forward, our posts will continue to celebrate learning, play, creativity and connection, while protecting the identities of the children in our care.

At Nido Padbury, we already seek children's permission before taking their photograph because we believe their voice matters. This next step reflects our ongoing commitment to respecting children's rights, privacy and safety, both within our service and beyond.

We hope this inspires more early childhood services to join the movement. Together, we can help create a safer digital future for children, one where their wellbeing, dignity and privacy always come first.

Because every child deserves to be protected, both offline and online.
