The children in Classroom 4 haven’t stopped talking about ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ since Book Week! 🐯✨

The educators decided to continue the magic of storytelling by using AI technology to imagine what it might look like if the Tiger really came to visit our service!

The children were amazed to see the Tiger sitting on the steps, enjoying some delicious Tiger food.

This sparked plenty of excitement, laughter and conversation as the story they know and love was brought to life in a whole new way. 📚✨

✨ Happy Early Childhood Educators’ Day! ✨

Today is a little reminder to our incredible educators of just how much they mean to the children, families and community of Nido Craigie.
Every day, our educators show up with patience, kindness, creativity and so much heart. They comfort little ones when they need it, celebrate the big and little moments, follow children’s interests, nurture their confidence and help them discover the world around them. So much of what they do happens quietly, but the impact they have lasts a lifetime 🤍

Today, we wanted to give a little of that love back. Each educator received their own personalised lunch box filled with some yummy treats and our digital photo frame is proudly displaying a special collection of messages and thank yous from the children - a beautiful reminder of the little people at the heart of everything they do 🥰

To our Nido Craigie educators, thank you. Thank you for the love you give, the memories you create, the moments you make meaningful and for being such an important part of our children’s early years.

Our outdoor environment has had a beautiful transformation! 🌿✨

Over the weekend, we've been busy creating inviting new spaces for children to explore, discover and connect with nature. From fresh landscaping to thoughtfully designed play areas, every addition has been made with children's learning, wellbeing and sense of wonder in mind.

And the best part? This is only the beginning! 🚧🌱 We have even more exciting improvements planned as we continue to enhance our environments, creating inspiring spaces where children can learn, play and thrive!

Today, the children ventured into Classroom 1 for a very special Dear Zoo experience! 🦁🐍🐘📚

The classroom had been completely transformed, transporting the children right into the pages of this much loved story. Through immersive spaces, storytelling and playful exploration, the children were invited to experience the magic of Dear Zoo in a whole new way.

And just when they thought the adventure couldn’t get any more exciting… there was even a visit from a real tiger! 🐯✨

Our little storytellers stepped into a world of colourful characters, curious adventures and playful rhymes, where imagination had no limits and every story invited us to wonder, explore and create.

Today, the children enjoyed a very special invitation to tea with a tiger! Inspired by the much-loved story The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Classroom 4 Lead Educator, Lottie, thoughtfully created a beautiful tea party experience for the children to explore.

The children delighted in sharing tea, engaging in imaginative conversations and bringing a favourite story to life through play. Experiences like these help foster creativity, language development and a love of literature while creating magical memories together.

Something magical is about to unfold across our service… ✨

For Book Week, we’re turning our whole service into a Symphony of Stories, with each classroom taking centre stage and bringing a much loved story to life through experiences, imagination, creativity, movement, sensory play and of course, a little bit of magic. 🌿✨

From classic fairy tales to curious cats, hungry caterpillars, tigers at tea time and adventures at the zoo — each day will invite our children to step inside a story rather than simply read one.

🎭 Monday: Classic Fairy Tales
🐯 Tuesday: The Tiger Who Came to Tea
🎩 Wednesday: The Cat in the Hat
🐛 Thursday: The Very Hungry Caterpillar
🦒 Friday: Dear Zoo

Each classroom will create its own chapter, but together, these experiences will become one beautiful Symphony of Stories across our service.

Our Classroom 2 children have fallen in love with The Very Hungry Caterpillar! The story has quickly become a favourite, with every educator being asked to read it again and again throughout the day.

To extend on this interest and support the children’s learning, our educators created a beautiful Hungry Caterpillar-themed tuff tray experience. With plenty of opportunities for exploration, storytelling, and hands-on play, the children have been busy retelling the story, discovering new vocabulary and engaging their imaginations.

Rainy days provide the perfect opportunity to slow down, explore, and dive deeper into the interests that are meaningful to our children. We can't wait to see where this learning journey leads next! 🌿🦋✨
