Today we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime by reading Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller with our children out in the yards. 🦘📚✨
Through Luna Roo’s journey, we explored the importance of confidence, perseverance, and believing in ourselves even when things feel challenging. The children loved engaging with the story in our outdoor spaces, sharing their thoughts and joining in the joy of reading together. 💛

💛 Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea 💛
During the month of May, Sagewood Success proudly took part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, raising funds for the Cancer Council in honour of Tammy Field, a valued educator from our centre’s early days.
On Thursday the 21st of May, we held a special morning tea for our educators to come together and support this meaningful cause.
Thanks to the generosity of our families, staff, and community, we are proud to share that we raised $349 throughout May! 🌼
Thank you to everyone who donated and supported our fundraising efforts. Together, we can make a difference 💛

A big congratulations to our Employee’s of the Month at Sagewood Early Learning 💛
✨ Employee of the Month – Joebelyn
Since rejoining the Success team, Joebelyn has been an incredible support to both educators and children across the service. Her willingness to step in where needed, support her fellow team members, and contribute positively each day has made such a valuable impact within our centre. We are so grateful to have her as part of our team again!

National Child Safety Training 💛
At our recent staff meeting, our team completed the National Child Safety Training — an important and mandatory requirement for all educators working within the Early Years sector.
This training supports educators in understanding their responsibilities in creating safe, supportive, and respectful environments for children. It focuses on recognising and responding to concerns, upholding children’s rights, and ensuring every child feels safe, heard, and protected while in our care.
At Sagewood Early Learning, child safety is at the centre of everything we do. We are proud of our team for their ongoing commitment to professional development and maintaining the highest standards of care and protection for all children and families within our service.
Thank you to our amazing educators for always striving to learn, grow, and strengthen their practice 💛

We had such a lovely visit to the Forget Me Not Dementia Café yesterday 💙
The children from our centre created a beautiful, thoughtful card filled with questions asking the elders what they dreamed of becoming when they were younger. It sparked so many warm conversations, smiles, and special moments as stories were shared.
We’re so grateful for this ongoing collaboration and the connections we’re building together—it truly is something special ✨

Today, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served our country.
At our service, we take a moment to remember, reflect, and teach our little ones the importance of respect, gratitude, and community.
Lest we forget 🌺

🚒 Firefighter Visit at the Centre 🚒
Today we had a very special visitor — Firefighter Courtney! 👩🚒
She brought along her firefighting gear and showed the children what firefighters wear to stay safe. The children were fascinated to see and learn about each piece of equipment and how it helps firefighters stay safe.
Courtney also spoke to the children about important fire safety tips, helping them understand what to do if there is ever a fire.
To continue the learning at home, each child received an information sheet with a little “homework” activity to complete with their families 🔥🏡
A big thank you to Firefighter Courtney for taking the time to educate and inspire our children today!
