Before the firefighters left, our Mindaleny friends had something very important to give them. The children had spent time carefully creating drawings, their own heartfelt way of saying thank you to people who dedicate their lives to keeping others safe. Watching the firefighters receive those little artworks with such genuine warmth was a beautiful reminder that kindness, no matter how small, always lands. 🎨❤️💛

A real fire truck. Up close, doors open, equipment and all and our children were invited right inside to explore. The excitement as they climbed in, looked around, and discovered the tools that firefighters use every single day was completely infectious, and the smiles said everything that words could not. Getting to experience the world of a community hero firsthand is the kind of memory that shapes how children see the world around them. 🚒✨

When the firefighters from Kensington Fire Station walked through our doors this week, the room went very quiet, and then the questions started, and they did not stop. Our children listened carefully as they learned about fire safety, what to do in an emergency, and the incredibly important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe every single day.
Thank you to the incredible team at Kensington Fire Station for taking the time to make this so meaningful. 🚒❤️

We ended the week in the best possible way: with a mini slumber party, the World Cup on in the background, and a very enthusiastic group of children sharing everything they know about ants. Did you know that soldier ants protect the queen? Our little ones certainly do, and they were very keen to make sure everyone else did too. Giggles, fun facts, and plenty of team spirit — this is the Budding Sproutz community at its very best.

Lettuce, cheese, tomato and a whole lot of confidence. Our little ones stepped into the role of Mini Chefs this week, building their own burgers from scratch and exploring every texture and flavour along the way. The independence and teamwork in the room were something special to watch, with children sharing ingredients, making choices, and taking real pride in what they created together.

Rocks became canvases this week as our children picked up their brushes and let their imaginations run free, identifying colours, mixing ideas, and decorating each stone with so much focus and pride. It is always wonderful to see how something as simple as a rock can become a work of art in the hands of a child who is truly engaged. Each one was completely unique, just like the little artist who made it.

This week, our children had a very special visitor: Aunty Issy came in to teach them all about first aid, what to do when someone gets an ouchie, and who to call when help is needed. Watching little ones learn how to look after each other with such seriousness and care was one of those moments that stays with you, because empathy and responsibility, when planted early, grow into something truly powerful. Our little helpers are ready.
