💙 Celebrating Our Wonderful Father Figures! 💙

What a beautiful afternoon we had celebrating the special dads, grandads, father figures and special people in our children’s lives!

The children enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of games, golf, basketball, shaving beards, making Father’s Day hats and drawing special portraits of their dads.

With music, a few yummy treats and plenty of laughter, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with fun, creativity and special memories.

A big Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing father figures in our children’s lives! Thank you for joining us and making the afternoon so special.

📚✨ A Symphony of Stories! ✨📚

What a wonderful week we have had as we explored the magical world of stories!

Our children have enjoyed bringing some of their favourite stories to life, with Pete the Cat proving to be a favourite! Our Pre-Kindy educators put on a special show featuring Pete the Cat puppet, and the centre was filled with lots of giggles, smiles and laughter. Our Toddlers embarked on a magical adventure to Fairyland, making delicious fairy bread to enjoy along the way! We also went on an exciting adventure to visit The Gruffalo and joined the witch on her broomstick for a magical flight around the world! It has been a week full of imagination, creativity, laughter and, of course, plenty of wonderful stories.

📚 Book Week 2026 – A Symphony of Stories! 📚

Our children and educators certainly embraced the theme, with everyone putting in such a wonderful effort to arrive dressed in costume as their favourite storybook characters! 📖👑🦸‍♀️🧚‍♂️

It was a joy seeing the children proudly share their favourite stories and characters with their friends and educators. There was so much imagination, creativity and excitement throughout the day!

🔴 🔴 🔴 Red Nose Day 🔴 🔴 🔴

Throughout the week, our Chuckles children have been busy baking in their classrooms to help raise money for SIDS & Kids.
Today we wrapped up our Red Nose Day celebrations by dressing in red, enjoying baking activities, and creating exciting red volcanoes in the sandpit.
Thank you to our educators, families and community for supporting such an important cause and helping us raise awareness together.

Today the children participated in an exciting insect incursion with Eco Action, where they explored a variety of insects and learned about their diets, habitats, features, and the important roles they play in our environment.

Guided by two experienced educators, the children were encouraged to observe closely, ask questions, and take part in hands-on learning experiences. They showed great curiosity and confidence as they discovered different insects, compared their shapes, colours, legs, wings, and movements, and learned about the importance of caring for insects and respecting their habitats.

This meaningful experience supported the children’s language development, observation skills, and understanding of how living things are connected in nature.

🚑 A Special Visit From the St John Ambulance!

Today we were lucky to have one of our wonderful parents, who works as an event nurse, visit the children for an exciting hands‑on learning experience.

The children had the opportunity to explore the ambulance, learn about the important work paramedics do, and take part in role‑play using real equipment. They asked fantastic questions, practised calling for help, and talked about how to stay safe and healthy.

Experiences like this help children build confidence, understand community roles, and learn essential early safety skills all while having so much fun.

A huge thank you to our visiting parent for giving the children such a memorable and educational experience.

🌿 Our Week of Reconciliation 🌿

This week, our children explored Reconciliation through meaningful, age-appropriate experiences.

We shared stories, discovered Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander symbols through sensory and sand tracing activities, created art and craft, and connected with nature through painting and creating seasonal hangers.

Through play, creativity, and conversation, our centre went ALL IN for Reconciliation, fostering respect, curiosity, and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Biggest Morning Tea is an annual community event held between May and June with the official day being 21st May. It is the perfect opportunity to join together over a cuppa and raise vital funds for Cancer Council. It is the nation's largest fundraising event of its kind, supporting cancer research, prevention, and support services. We would like to thank all our families who took time out of their busy schedules and joined us for some delicious breakfast treats. Together we raised $181.20

Pirate Day is an annual dress-up day during Brain Cancer Awareness Month each May. It's time to dust off your finest attire and accumulate as much treasure as possible for enhanced treatments for childhood brain cancer. Everyone had a delightful time as the children embarked on an epic voyage across the seven seas, equipped with treasure maps, in pursuit of the buried treasure of Chuckles. Upon arriving at the first island, we rescued Miss Karen, who joined us on our extraordinary quest. Cheers erupted as they discovered the hidden treasure.
