The Australian Culinary Federation WA would like to congratulate Tanya Healy, Head Chef of PPP – Prepare Produce Provide, on being named one of the final three finalists in the Excellence in WA Volunteer Management Awards, with the awards night taking place this Thursday.
This recognition is incredibly significant, especially as it sits outside of the traditional hospitality industry space, highlighting the wider impact hospitality professionals can have within our communities.
Tanya’s contribution to hospitality, education, mentorship, and community support over many years has been extraordinary. Through PPP, she has helped create opportunities, pathways, and meaningful change for so many people across Western Australia.
During COVID, we saw firsthand the power of our industry coming together. Alongside volunteers, community members, and stood-down chefs, more than 45,000 meals were produced for people in need — a reminder that hospitality has always been about far more than what happens inside a restaurant.
As organisations, ACF WA and PPP continue to support one another through shared values of mentorship, community, education, and creating opportunities for the next generation of hospitality professionals.
We are incredibly proud to see Tanya recognised at this level and wish her the very best for Thursday night.
Congratulations Tanya 👏

Fresh off the buzz of last week’s Djinda Ngardak camp and gala dinner, the Prepare Produce Provide crew hit the road again — this time heading into the Goldfields for Career Tasters! 🚐✨
Trip team: PPP Head Chef Tanya, Chef Dan, and Trainer Andrea 👩🏽🍳👨🏽🍳🙌
Day 1 took us to Southern Cross District High School, with Norseman District High School bringing the energy on Day 2. Both groups were all-in — enthusiastic, curious, and ready to cook with native ingredients.
On the menu with Tanya:
🍞 Wattleseed flatbread
🥙 Kangaroo kofta wraps
🌿 with a warrigal greens-inspired tzatziki
While Dan fired up the BBQ for the feast, students also got hands-on with PPP’s own Kepa Kwab, mixing up a refreshing raspberry & peach mocktail 🍑🍓🧊
With bellies full and energy high, Dan then shared his “Story on a Plate” — reflecting on growing up swimming in watering holes, his connection to Country, and how the river serpent is represented in his dessert:
✨ Italian Meringue Native Serpent
Then it was the students’ turn to create their own plated stories 🎨🍰 using:
Italian meringue
macadamia nuts
strawberry gum gel
mango curd
edible flowers
biscuit crumb
strawberry gum sherbet
So much creativity. So many personal touches. So much pride. 💛
Big thanks to Southern Cross DHS and Norseman DHS for having us — we loved cooking alongside your students and seeing your future hospitality stars shine! ⭐️
Stay tuned for the next instalments - Fairbridge College and Northam SHS
