Sustainability!
In Classroom 2, we have been exploring sustainability in a range of different ways as we want to help keep our Earth happy and healthy. Over the past few weeks, we've been planting carrot seeds, hoping to grow our own snacks for morning and afternoon tea.
This hands-on project is part of our commitment to sustainability and learning about where our food comes from. By nurturing these carrot plants, we're not only learning about the growth cycle of plants but also about the importance of caring for our environment.
It's exciting to think about harvesting our own carrots and enjoying them as part of our healthy snacks. This activity aligns with the Australian Curriculum, which encourages students to engage in sustainable practices and understand the impact of their actions on the environment.
Through such projects, we aim to foster a sense of responsibility and connection to the natural world. We look forward to sharing our progress and the delicious carrots we've grown with you soon!

For NAIDOC Week, Classroom 2 have been exploring and celebrating the rich culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We learned about the importance of storytelling through symbols and tried different ways of creating our own art inspired by these traditions.
We also explored the meaning behind the Aboriginal flag and discovered some amazing native Australian animals. It has been a wonderful opportunity to show respect, learn more about the oldest living cultures on Earth, and understand the deep connection between people, land, and stories.
Always Was, Always Will Be.

Insect Discovery!
This provocation captured the children's interest, prompting them to take initiative in exploring the insects using a magnifying glass. They closely examined the number of legs on each insect and showed curiosity about identifying their names. Some children were able to confidently recognize and name a few of the insects during their investigation. Amazing work kinders!

Creating Obstacles
Today, our children took the initiative to design and build their own obstacle course, showing great enthusiasm and creativity throughout the process. Their active involvement not only reflected their interest in physical activity, but also highlighted their problem-solving skills and teamwork as they collaborated to bring their ideas to life.
